QPR game off tomorrow.
Villa reporting a number of positive lateral flows, waiting for PCRs.
With the U.K. moving to ‘level 4’ could this be the last weekend of football ?
Our Hectic xmas schedule isn't looking quite as hectic after all
Tuesday’s Premier League match between Brentford and Manchester United has been placed in doubt after a number of Ralf Rangnick’s squad tested positive for Covid-19.
United won 1-0 at Norwich on Saturday, with a late penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo. Everyone who travelled to Carrow Road had tested negative in the last round of routine tests. However, on Sunday morning, a small number of positive lateral flow tests were found among the players and staff, who were all sent home. The rest of the squad trained outdoors and the schedule was adjusted, taking in individual and non-contact sessions.
It is understood the Premier League has been notified of the results by United and it is not clear if Tuesday night’s match at Brentford will be able to go ahead.

You'd think that if Tuesday's game can't go ahead, then our game on Saturday may be slightly at risk too, given the requirement for 10 days isolation would extend beyond the weekend.

I have asked this question before but how many men down do you need to be to get your game called off? I am hearing on the radio about a top rugby club with 8 men down who are having to field a team of kids.
If only we could go into hibernation like the humble hedgehog or tortoise, then wake again as Spring arrives. A kind of natural lockdown. Would make life so much easier to bear.
Was going to that game.
Oh well. Will do some Xmas shopping instead and hopefully Jools Holland will still be on at the Apollo in the evening.
