I personally think it's had been a decent performance from us. Frustrating that their goals have come from us pondering on the ball too long in silly areas. Having said that, their second goal was a great hit.
We are still in it and you wouldn't be too surprised if we managed to get a something out of this game. Have to stay in it the first 20mins of this second half.

Good first half - we're VERY unlucky to be losing.

Spirited performance from the boys.

Mitoma's goal was harsh to be ruled out - but basically keepers get absolute protection these days - I think the argument is that he had two hands on the ball, even though he took Mitoma out, rather than the other way around.

Definite penalty from Webster's foul. You can't take someone out with trailing feet like that.

Great goal from Estupinan.

Marmoush's goal was very good - Verbruggen's view was obscured and he couldn't see it - but it was probably going in anyway.

Messy, intense, entertaining first half - lots of errors from both teams.

I think if we continue what we're doing and try to minimise the defensive errors then we have a good chance of getting something today.

We might see a red card or two again today.

Come on Brighton!

Frustrating. Very even half, both sides making LOADS of mistakes. They’ve punished two of ours and we’ve punished one of theirs.

No complaints with the referee’s decisions generally. Mitoma’s goal was correctly ruled out, it was a stone wall penalty, no foul on Pedro prior etc.

Our problems are of own doing which is annoying, because Manchester City really don’t need a helping hand.

Doku is some player - incredible strength, speed and skill. Minteh looking dangerous.

Hooper is dishing out the yellows today. I think we’re heading for 10 men sadly.

Playing ok. Were getting closed down in numbers from defence and giving the ball away cheaply. Webster gave it away 3 times in quick succession. Baleba also needs to wake up and Rutter be more involved.
Need to go direct more. Their backline is shakey and our passing at the back / being closed down is causing us most of our own problems. Get runners off wellbeck in the 2nd half. They've got no proper defensive mids to help out their defence so slow build up is pointless.

Hooper seems a little too happy to give us cards.

Not sure why Mitoma and Baleba get yellows, but no yellow for the foul before our goal.

Exactly the same sort of foul.

I didn’t even think ours was a foul to be completely honest, but I agree having giving it I was expecting a yellow. I really don’t think that shows bias though.
