And I can't get too excited about a league cup win sorry. Its a mickey mouse competition.

United may have won the treble with him there but they were already very successful before he arrived so it doesn't mean much to me.

But had not won the European Cup.

Bearing in mind Boro had won bugger all for a while, the League Cup was a worthwhile win for them. Looking at the teams left it in this year they will all be taking it seriously, for Arsenal and Man U it guarantees some silverware and for the others it also means a route into Europe.
