He could just go with 'The VAR decision was bent,' United deserved the win from the balance of play, but Rashford was offside. The fact that I can say that with complete confidence proves what a huge waste of time VAR is. It's not scientific. It still relies on human error. Just be brave enough to tell the clubs that refs will do their best, but mistakes will be made and we can do away with the whole farrago and go back to enjoying football spontaneously.
