Man Ure v Athletic Bilbao

I went to Bilbao a few months ago and went to a amtch, learned a lot about Athletic Club etc.

Great club, great ground etc.

They also have a reputation for playing direct football, in the english style. The club have historic links with England, and that is part of their culture now, not to mention the name.

The ground is being knocked down next year I think, get yoursleves out there and go for the tour, catch a match (expensive tickets though!) and take in the city which is a wonderful, wonderful place.

Athletic are my favourite La Liga club by miles.....to still mix it with the big boys despite their (self imposed) restrictions is amazing

I honestly think Manure., have gone into the Champions League and Europa League. Thinking they were unbeatable and just have to turn up and beat whoever is infront of them. Basle at home and away is a example. Now Ajax and Athletico Bilbao have gone to prove this, how the mighty have fallen.....
