Man tears

I don't cry very often.

I cried a bit at my Grandads Funeral earlier this year, but not floods of tears for whatever reason?

I tend to cry when a relationship breaks down, depending on how serious it is obviously!

And I've only ever cried at two films...One was ET when I was about 5. The other was the Green Mile last year.

I cried during ET when it was on TV a couple of weeks ago and I am 45.

When my Girlfriend and soul mate of 7 years an I split up I didn't cry but two weeks ago when she told me she had a new job and was moving to Sheffiled a tear popped out as I was walking away down a rainsoaked Southover street. I thought we may have got back together but there is no bloody chance of that now.

Thats not good.... Sheffield you say...*shudder* so, no chance of you relocating up there to try and win her back in that case.

I cried when I lost my job 2 months before the arrival of our first child and in the process of buying our first house.

(alhough the process of buying a house alone in enough to bring you to tears IMHO)

I haven't got the energy anymore to be honest Hillbilly. Obviously I don't want too many details on here but it was a bit of a struggle toward the end and she is determined to return up North and begin a new life. She is 5 years older than me and feels time is running out.

I can't believe 'at your own wedding' is on anybody's BORDERLINE ACCEPTABLE list - how GAY is that?

One of my mates had a little sob at his, and we ripped the piss out of him something chronic.

Mind, you she was no great beauty, so he might have been within his rights.

How could you cry at Field of Dreams ? Crap film.

and though Close Encounters was a good film I thought he was a right **** for leaving his family to swan off round the galaxy. It wasn`t so much sad as bloody annoying watching him act so irresponsibly.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
Oft a tear spills furiously when you realise what you have done to someone else. Not quite the same as the scientific proclamation of how yawns pass from man to man by view alone, but to know you are responsible for someone to unclog their ducts can bring it out in you too. You can do it by talking stupidly without thought and mentioning a part of someone's lives you found fit for jest, but sometimes it's about reaching the final point of their submittance and announcing you a bully, a behemoth, a corker of emotions as vapid and purposeless as end-of-term reports, the offerer of unfulfilled promises.
I cried a time or two i imagined such statements made to me mentally when a girlfriend cried hopelessly.

I once cried when a woman I cared for left me. She said she did not want to remember me as a snivelling wreck and told me to harden up and act tougher.
I then punched her and she called the police...................

So you cannot win really.

Schindler's List - several scenes

Anyone who doesn't cry at Neeson/Schindler's closing speech "I could have saved..." is pretty cold in my book, but then again I'm a bit like the characters in Dumb and Dumber crying over that tv advert - give me a bit of music over an emotional scene in a film and I'm gone.
