Regarding JP, he seemed to argue with his teammates quite a bit…not good for a captain.

I'd have voted Pedro, but his constant arm-flapping at the crowd got on my TITS. Look mate, just crack on with the game and do what you're paid handsomely to do - stick the ball in the bloody net. Otherwise, get some pom-poms and a crop-top, and mince around on the touchline like Avril Lavigne.

Anyway. The MOTM (not "player" ffs), was Veltman.

Ayari for me. He made the whole pattern of play link together. He was everywhere. Brilliant. Yet so many fail to notice. Luckily FH gets it. I would love to see him add the odd goal though.
I’m a huge fan of Ayari but he has awful composure in front of goal so I’m not expecting that to change quickly. But so does Baleba. Mitoma has gone dreadful this season. Rutter was looking the guy, now less so of late. Fab needs to crack the goals from midfield problem because I look around and see virtually no reliable back up to Welbeck and Pedro’s pens

Van Hecke closely followed by JP. The other defenders also did really well. Igor was good, Pervis ok, Webster and Veltman great.

Along with those mentioned above, I though Rutter and Georginio had the most impact and changed the game after we were weak in the first half.

So, both of them can share it. 😎
I thought he did a lot well in terms of driving us up the pitch, but he actually gave the ball away a ton, didn’t have a shot, didn’t play a key pass, didn’t make a tackle… so there’s perspective.

In hindsight, it was a very Leeds performance - he looked like he was doing a lot without actually doing a lot, and it’s probably the reason he’s not starting at the moment.

When we were pretty poor in the 1H Baleba looked like a real cut above for long periods of the game. So him.

Pedro, just, then Baleba, then Velts. Special mention for Webster who was outstanding when he came on.

Thought Ayari had a good game, and is worth a mention!

However, he was sometimes let down by some powderpuff challenges or was a little late to the party when the Arsenal attacked…
Would have to differ on that dark wolf, thought he and the magnificent Baleba, were probably the reasons we weren’t overrun in the first half, as they were so disciplined. It was the back 4, that looked a little all over the place to me.
