Why do people keep giving it to defenders? They were good, sure, but...

Joao Pedro was absolutely brilliant yesterday, I can't fathom giving it to anyone else. His work rate is immense. If he doesn't get player of the season, welI I won't be surprised but I will be very disappointed.

Pedro hasn't had the best season IMHO it's really only since he had that spell on the bench and has had a kick up the arse that hes turned around his fortunes. Now he makes it his personal mission to run more than any other player on the pitch every game. Brilliant management from fab.

Yeah I might have gone early on pots! But I am so impressed by him at the moment, his work rate and his skill on the ball. Even the period where it wasn't working so well I didn't mind because a talent like that needs to be able to try and express himself

It’s a very close call between JVH, Pedro but for me it’s Gomez he’s still getting up to speed and cannot last a complete game but is clearly starting to show what he can bring from a fantastic sliding tackle inside our box on Halland to spaying a range of passes to keep things ticking along to defence splitting passing

He's not had a consistent season but I thought Joao Pedro was immense yesterday. Workrate was brilliant and some of his close control was amazing.

I agree, but the going down clutching his face needs to be cut out. Hate that from any player, especially one of our own.

Agreed about Hinsh.
I’m a huge fan of the boy, but yesterday was not one of his best days.
This is the problem with MOM threads.
Too many people vote on the basis of their favourites or prior prejudices.
It’s supposed to be an opinion on solely the 90+ minutes you’ve just witnessed.

So on that basis ….. Joao Pedro yesterday by a million miles.
That’s not to say others didn’t play well, but Pedro was immense.
