It’s a very close call between JVH, Pedro but for me it’s Gomez he’s still getting up to speed and cannot last a complete game but is clearly starting to show what he can bring from a fantastic sliding tackle inside our box on Halland to spaying a range of passes to keep things ticking along to defence splitting passing
The BBC reporter was impressed with Gomez as well and dedicated a whole section of the report to him.

JPvH. Immense.

But I simply can’t give MotM to a player (Hinsh, Baleba, Minteh or Pedro) who missed a big chance in a game where we missed all six that we had. We’d have surely won if we’d converted one.

To see JPVH get battered from pillar to post and not give an inch is awe-inspiring, keeping Haaland anonymous and continually looking to get the ball forward gets my vote, Losing our captain, Igor and Veltman could have derailed our season but alongside Webster they have ensured we have kept the momentum.

To be honest you could put forward an argument for 5 or 6 players. I know we didn’t win and Citeh are a pale shadow but I thought it was one of the best team performances of the season.

Why do people keep giving it to defenders? They were good, sure, but...

Joao Pedro was absolutely brilliant yesterday, I can't fathom giving it to anyone else. His work rate is immense. If he doesn't get player of the season, welI I won't be surprised but I will be very disappointed.
Pedro was excellent yesterday but it was him who gave the ball away which led to their first goal…

Your say City are a pale shadow, but still 4th! They are a good team!
