Not sure if I'm too bothered by this. If it gets the bastard out of the country and forces him to rot back in Somalia then it's fine by me. Saves the tax payers haiving to provide him with food and accomodation for the next twenty years.

Better be careful what I say here.

Should customs not be allowed to ask the person to remove the vail if they suspect something is wrong before letting them board the plane or again does it come down to this stupid human rights BS

What a thick comment you made.A women was murdered in cold blood and it doesn't bother you hes escaping justice? Not only that he was a failed asylum seeker who had a criminal record?Instead of deporting him quickly we keep them here due to rights.Blame Labour for this womens murder. It just shows how weak our security is at airports.Ban the veil altogther as it has no place in a British Society. But news like this will lead to Labours downfall. It's snowballing already.Long may it continue.People are sick to the back teeth with the human rights act, immigration ,crime etc etc

Sounds 95% like bullshit, made to tie in with the government agenda of making it illegal to wear veils in public. Distrust this story with extreme prejudice.

If it does turn out to be true will that finaly prove that if you wear a veil you can get away with murder?

Not really. it'll just show that the security measures at British airport's are just so much window-dressing. They can stop a can of soup, no problem, but they can't stop a bloke in a veil. Blame the piss-poor security measures, don't blame the veil.

No, it is on the front page of the Daily Telegraph so it must be true. It turns out that his father was the cousin of a former dictator, Barre, and he stole his sister's passport. As we know, they don't check passports on exit so it seems entirely possible. He had already served four jail terms and his first criminal conviction was in 1998. He has had 11 court appearances for 21 offences including two involving fire-arms but was given seven years stay in 2000. The Home Office thought it would be too dangerous to return him to Somalia :nono:

Any immigration officials posting?

Can you actually get a passport photo done, either in the UK, or in a Muslim state, wearing a veil?

If yes, then fair enough, time for iris scans and all the rest of it, to prove identity.

If no, then got to be down to lax security measures surely?
