Can you actually get a passport photo done, either in the UK, or in a Muslim state, wearing a veil?

If yes, then fair enough, time for iris scans and all the rest of it, to prove identity.

If no, then got to be down to lax security measures surely?

You cant get a passport picture done with a veil on in this country and I seriously doubt you can anywhere else in the world. I dont think the iris scans and ID cards are the way forward. Far too expensive and gives the government access to sensitive and confidential information.

The governement think they can pass anything by claiming it is an anti terrorism measure.

Why cant airport security just ask to see his/her face. A simple request really!

This story is absolute nonsense.

The point of a veil is to protect female modesty. All you need do is get a female security guard or customs officer to take the veiled person to one side and inspect the face out of the way of men.

I believe this is the practice already at UK airports.
