I'm now waiting to see what updates the next release of Football Manager has on its next release to reflect the spread of a virus.

I just it hope the PL don't go back to WWII for solutions. If they do I would take your boots with you as fans called be pulled from the stands to make up the teams

On a more serious note. Should the PL be making a statement stating that if becomes necessary the stages are xyz so that it is clarified.

Also given the age profile of cricket championship spectators will the County Championship even start this year.

But Marinakis only announced he tested positive yesterday. How have they been self-isolating since they met him? They didn't know at that point.

They haven't been self isolating since they met him, they've been self isolating since they found out. Which was yesterday. So they don't need to self isolate for 14 days from when they found out, it's meant to be 14 days from when you came into contact with someone that is carrying it; that is up on the 13th I think.

Have they actually been tested?

It'll be a safe bet the Arsenal medical team are throwing money at this right now and the players/staff will be getting lots of tests!

I'm not sure that a county championship 'crowd' has ever been considered as a large gathering.

Well being that they played West Ham last Saturday none of there important players seemed to be missing so there will be no advantage of players not training for 2 weeks

They weren’t self isolating at the time because the Greek owner hadn’t been diagnosed then.

So my guess, pulled out of my ass, is that they just got tested/are getting tomorrow and possibly wont have the results from these tests in time for the Man City game.

But if all the tests turn out negative perhaps the game on Saturday is on?

Not that it matters... if I ignore my football addiction for a moment and look at this soberly, there is absolutely no chance this season can continue.

Its over, if not this week then next. But I think in 24 or 48h confirmed cases in England will be at least the double to what they are now and if that is correct, the current PL standings are also the final.
Any plans in place or been discussed for the Swedish season that about to start?
I have flights and accommodation booked to see my Swedish team Hammarby play Kalmar at the beginning of April.

The fairest way is no relegation but promote the 2 teams in the auto places. Surely the EPL can cope with 4 more rounds of fixtures for just one season? Ditch the league cup for one season. Relegate 4 teams next season and promote 2. Bring back the play offs at the end of the 21/22 season.

Liverpool should be champions.

Seems way too logical. I know the premier league is a 20 team league etc etc and that is written in its rules but these are unprecedented times

Another alternative is to indefinitely postpone the remaining matches, perhaps rescheduling them for the autumn, and to scrap the entire 2020/21 season. The rest of the season could be made up of friendly tournaments, etc - a bit like what happened during the war.

And we could all play like in the war.

How cool would that be - nutmegging Virgil Van Dijk and going in over the ball against Zaha or Grealish

What a con. Why would players have met the Olympiakos owner? This is all so they'll be fresh to play us rather than tired after playing Man City. They must think that this way they'll get three points rather than lose both matches and get none.

I believe the Premier League has cancelled the match, not Arsenal.

It's not good for us but our game will probably be cancelled anyway.
