These are a good team, but we should be beating the likes of...

No way. They are there to be beaten, we can overpower them all over the pitch.

I’m one of Guardiola’s biggest fans but he is scared of relentless, physical teams like us and Bournemouth - he knows he hasn’t got the players to compete with that at the moment. We should be confident.
The subs will win it for us again if we are still in contention at 70 mins. Nobody has a better bench than us imo

Did I just say that? I remember going to City under CH and thinking “wow” when I saw who they had on the bench. Not anymore.

I'd take the point. It's a very solid result and keeps momentum going into the international break.

Plus, I want another season in Europe. For that I reckon we'll need another 15 or 16 points. Maybe less but 61 or 62 points should be enough to get us 7th or 8th(although 8th would leave us sweating on the winners of the cups....assuming the f.a cup isn't us...).

So, 15 or 16 points is either five wins or four wins three draws form our last ten games or five wins and a draw or four wins four draws. Whichever way you slice it that makes a point away at City a decent one.

Time and time again we have proved there's not a single team in this league we need to fear. Citeh are no different.

As for our record up there? Well every record is there to be broken, isn't it.

If we were to play for a draw I'd be most disappointed.
With the Fulham hoodoo broken, I’m all in on this one. I predict a MASSIVE Albion victory

I'd take a high scoring draw and a win against Forest . In fact I would take a stuffing Saturday and a win against Forest. Bad fan ? :bloom:

Albion have lost their last 11 matches away at Manchester City. Overall 15 matches with just 2 points to show for. We've never won there.

Our first encounter was in 1979. In terms of away matches, I'd say that's our worst record.

Time for a change.

I love stats

Pep‘s style of tactics are in a descendent trajectory and Hürzeler’s are in the ascendency in the modern game imo - I said before the Fulham game, if we were to break the curse, ‘today’ would be the day (with the squad and manager we currently have) - I would say the same again for beating Citeh at the Ethiad. They are having by their standards a crap season on and off the pitch and have been very inconsistent whereas since ‘that’ game, we have found our mojo but they will be fighting hard with their eye on the UEFA CL next season. Doku will be the biggest threat and they still have far more talent and individual experience than we do but I’ll take the 3 points going in to it over a draw thanks!
