City undoubtedly in a bit of funk right now. They have not been the powerhouse of previous seasons, so I would say this is a good time to play them. We have to make the most of these windows of opportunity. Hurzeler was suitably disappointed that we did not make the most of our first half dominance on saturday and will be keen to reinforce that message with the team this week.

Eventually City will snap out of this slump and return to their all-conquering form, we have to make sure that this is not the game they do it in.

Play like the 1st half at Anfield and we'll do them, simple

Have we got any of our grown-ups back, i.e. Dunk, Webster or Milner? it would be handy to have Jao Pedro available too...

In previous seasons would have called this a free hit - I think we should be a bit more optimistic than this going into Saturday’s game

I like Milner, but I'm not sure he'll ever get another game for Brighton. Hinshelwood, Ayari, Baleba, probably O'Riley and possibly Wieffer will be ahead of him for the two midfield roles.

Their defence is shaky as hell right now.... Of course that means Pep will have gone absolutely batshit at them this week and demand they keep a clean sheet and put 5 past us.

Were get hammer and loose.

What this mini slump is showing other teams is that City aren't actually that good at defending if you can get at their back 4, Rodri covered that up.

So if you have the courage to have a proper go at them then you've half a chance. We need to be in their faces from minute 1, the same as we were at Anfield, but this time Fab needs to swap tiring players out before the inevitible drop in energy hits them.

Seen it all before. We'll get the usual patronising little pat on the head from Pep in the build-up, with him raving about how BRILLIANT and AMAZING we are, before his team goes out and gives us an absolute shoeing.

We're far too leaky to keep this lot out, and I can't see us outscoring them.

Sorry.

Unfortunately this is the likelier scenario.

The solution Sporting beat them making the pitch wide using wingers Mitoma & Minteh if fit could do exactly the same job supplying Ferguson/Welbeck/Pedro with Georgino as a 10. Replace Veltman with Ferdi and keep Pervis & the Mitoma link up on the left.
I like that, solutions rather than fear and uncertainty. Fight for everything Brighton, give them nothing.
