Well, I mean, you can to be fair… there are thousands of qualified running coaches, many specialise in pace technique
If we get him what would the plan be? 6 months training with the squad but playing U21s and the occasional spot on the bench then a loan in the second half of the season?

Straight out on loan? Straight into the first team squad?
He's still young enough to go in and out of the 1st team squad / 21s for a season to see if he kicks on with better players and then out on loan next season if needed.

We'll see if he goes on loan or not or whether he'll primarly play with U21 first or with the first team.

Might not be any plan at all as it stands - Hurzeler & co might want to have a look at him in preseason before making a decision.

On one hand, he is comfortable in a number of roles and could get a decent amount of game time that way. On the other hand I really think he needs a bit more muscle before he is capable of achieving much in the PL.

Article from today. You can read it with Google Translate. Gets a lot of praise from his team mates.

Very excited about Malick, hopefully could reach the same level as Biss and Caicedo.

Some ringing endorsements there. Very encouraging if we can get this one over the line!

Indeed. An assist king.

However, when attacking, we could already look something like this if we sign Wieffer…….

———————Verbruggen————————
—-Van Hecke———————Dunk————-
————————Wieffer—————————
Lamptey————-Gilmour————Estupinan
——-March———-Groß———Mitoma———
———————-—Pedro—————————

At the moment, the attacking midfielder should be back-up to Groß.
Hmmm cancel that, if Pascal moves on, as now seems likely, we will be one more midfielder down, our most experienced one at that.

He describes himself as a defensive midfielder able to play on the wings.
So almost instantly, should this guy sing, he could be providing competition not ony for Mats Weiffer, but Solly March and Kauru Mitoma too.

Widely differing postions, though l guess in modern day football, players need to be more and more adaptable.

Exciting if can add this deal to the ones already secured. I think he'll play deeper just because we seem to have for a single ACM position (as we're bound to play some wingers or wide forwards)

Pedro
(Groß)
Enciso
Buenonotte
Moder
And probably more I'm forgetting.

But for a couple of deeper spots we have

New Dutch guy
Baleba
Wee Billy
And then getting into Milner territory god help us

UEFA have just confirmed that Man Utd & City can compete in the same UEFA tournaments as the other clubs they own. Complete U turn to when Bloom had to dilute his stake in USG, just 12 months later. Corrupt as f***.

Try reading up on what has actually happened. For once UEFA appear to have treated everyone in the same way.

They put the same caveats in place that us and USG, Villa & Vitória SC and AC Milan & Toulouse had regarding transfers.

No transfers can be made between City and Troyes or between United and Nice until September 2025.

UEFA have already blocked a United signing from Nice this summer.

There has also been changes made to ownership and share allocation. The only difference is City Group and INEOS have said changes are temporary but that is surely going to depend on if they all qualify for Europe again next season.

Remember, this guy is only 18 or so. I’d suggest he’d go on a similar development route to Caicedo if signed. Perhaps a season long loan to Grance, Holland or Belgium first. Good analysis here:

Not a winger like that, but rather the kind of two-way wide midfielder you'd see in a 4-4-2. More likely to compete with the wide midfielders/wing backs than the attacking wingers.

Here
If our transfer activity carries on like this I can see Winstanley getting the sack for totally failing in his role as "Director of Global Talent and Transfers" (ie "Director of Waiting to see if Brighton are interested then Gazump them with a f*** off bid and Numerous Dodgy Add-ons and bribes that the selling club and the player's agent can't refuse")
