I've only been once or twice. When something is on your doorstep you just take it for granted.

I was seeing a girl while I was staying in Southampton (she was at uni with some mates of mine). We were in bed watching the FA Cup pre game stuff and she dropped the bombshell that she was not only from Portsmouth but also a Pompey fan . . . I mean what do you do, she seemed normal.

I regret it now of course but I really should have asked her if Portsmouth was a proper Island.

I know, I know. Please don't embarrass me any more.

I blame the HSB. It did lead to the best prank I've ever done though.
I shared a flat with two other lads. One of them didn't wash in the mornings, so after a heavy night, we drew a Hitler moustache on Dave, a Palace fan, who was borderline comatose, hoping he didn't wash or look in the mirror in the morning.

It worked like a dream. Next day, we cycled into town and went into the main lecture theatre. The whole audience clocked what had happened. Except Dave of course. That moment has stayed with me forever.

I get it – he fights back when 'attacked', which is fine – to a point. But whether it's the language barrier, his personality, or the fact that he has to have an opinion on pretty much EVERYTHING on the board, the way his input comes across is not always appreciated.

I’m not pro-Swansman, I’m also not anti-Swansman. For the same reason I’m not pro/anti-GT49er, pro/anti-Brighton Lines or pro/anti-Greg Bobkin. Because it’s an Internet forum and worrying about a single poster as much as some people do is the kind of pathetic drama I’d expect from a bunch of teenage girls at school.

However, let’s not beat around the bush here, somebody saying they’re worried Person A will hurt someone again and then when asked who Person A hurt before bringing up apparent rape allegations is hardly subtle.

Swansman needs to learn when to shut up, but pretty clearly calling him a rapist is one of the few times where he’s well within his right to reply.
