Off for rain with us having nudged ahead of Hampshire.

Being greedy we'd like to be only 1 or 2 down but not a bad effort. Hopefully we can still bat most of a dry/brighter day tomorrow.

Looks like they are back out there. Bad news with the weather about - hiding to nothing for our boys. :crosseseverything:

Phew... back off with a few precious runs added. Hopefully that is it until tomorrow.

F*%K... That is seriously bad luck to have been repeatedly forced on and off with bad light and rain about. Made a wicket almost inevitable.

Has anyone got any idea why we elected to bat first? Wasn't today going to all about cloud cover, moisture and breeze?

Wolsingham, County Durham
Commentators saying that it looks a decent pitch - get a score, bowl them out I guess is the thinking. They forgot, though, that they are Sussex.

150 up - 154 for 5 Joyce 80* Yardy 7*

154 for 5? Force of habit, expecting a wicket to fall any minute?!?

Could not believe we decided to bat first in these weather conditions , this ridiculous decision could see us relegated !

Yardy. Last home championship match before retirement, 162/5 and Sussex in need of runs. Cometh the hour, cometh the man?
