This could be. Very tough game. We know it’s a tough ground to go and so different from what the players are used to. Fingers crossed they come and have a go and we can get in behind rather than park the bus for 100 minutes. UTA

My main concern is that we come out and have our usual poor first half as normal and go down to a set piece goal, followed by a second half of shithousery. Can see us losing this one quite easily, hope am eating my words in 3 hours.

Not in the mood for Dahoud AGAIN.

We’ll hopefully find him somewhere to get some playing time in 2nd half of the season if not here.

That's a 'please come and get me, Liverpool' team if ever not saw one.

MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

  • Brighton's three wins in 31 matches away at Luton in all competitions came in 1927, 1934 and 2008.
  • However, the Seagulls have been victorious in three successive league matches against Luton, including a 4-1 result on the opening weekend of this season, which is their longest winning run against the Hatters.
Luton
  • Luton have lost only once in their past seven games in all competitions.
  • They are yet to score in the opening 15 minutes of a Premier League fixture this season.
  • However, they have netted 14 times in the final 15 minutes of matches, which accounts for an unrivalled 58% of their top-flight goals this campaign.
  • Eight of their 12 league defeats have been by a single-goal margin.
  • The Hatters have only kept one clean sheet in 10 league games at Kenilworth Road this season but have only failed to score in one of those matches.
  • Alfie Doughty has five top-flight assists this season, three more than any other Luton player. All of those assists have come from crosses.
Albion
  • Brighton have only won three of their past 15 top-flight matches, including one of eight away fixtures.
  • After not recording a goalless draw in any of their 41 league games in 2023, both of their top-flight encounters this year have ended 0-0.
  • They could become the first top-flight team to start a calendar year with three consecutive goalless draws in the league.
  • Albion are aiming to keep three consecutive shutouts for the first time since August 2022.
  • The Seagulls haven't managed a goal in three of their past five league outings, immediately following a club record run of scoring in 32 consecutive league games between March and December.
  • Kenilworth Road is poised to become the 47th ground at which James Milner has made a Premier League appearance. Only four players, led by Ryan Giggs with 52, have played at more.
  • Pascal Gross has created 55 chances this season, a joint league-high with Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes.
  • Joao Pedro has scored 18 goals this season in all competitions, second only to Erling Haaland's 19 among Premier League players.
