To be honest our outlay on players and wages means anything top half with cup runs is over delivering. That is the level of backing - which is fine, I’m not complaining, but our squad is nowhere near deep enough to cope with the injuries we’ve had this season, and it’s been shown recently and tonight.
It’s still deeper than most though. With the injuries and absentees, most clubs outside the top 6 would be in huge trouble. Look at West Ham.. take out Paqueta & Kudus and they’re bottom 8 standard. We’re missing far more than that and have been for weeks/months.

Ah well, it's only football

An Albion STH - and friend of someone on here - lost their life tonight. That's what *I* meant about perspective.

Shout, scream, swear, get battered or smash things up - it'll make fack all difference, but if it makes you feel better...

Perspective.

I doubt the phone lines from Merseyside will be jammed up after that shit show.
A truly awful performance from every player.
Credit to RE and his boys tonight. They did a proper job on us. TBF, it has been coming.

"Massively" is possibly overstating it.

We've spent a year feeling he was an upgrade on Potter but have stuttered in the league since before Christmas.

I don't know - it's still a joy to watch when it goes well, but we still have games where we contrive to drop points despite the opposition being average and when teams play well, we often get spanked.
I said it last year, teams will work us out then wins won't come as easy, but hey on the bright side we are still (I think) in the top half of the table, still in the FA Cup and the Europa Cup, it's hardly a dire and depressing situation. We all know the major issue is retaining players and that will always be the issue unless FIFA brings in salary caps the leagues will be dominated by clubs with bigger budgets.

Glad to see you back on Albion threads, never a wiser word said.

Bloom plays the long game, a two or three year rebuilding after losing the immemse MacA and Caicedo. Many including myself thought we’d be mid-table team this season with the demands of EL football and our weakened first team. Tottenham, Chelsea, Wolves generally get a week’s rest and prep between games.

RDZ won’t be here to wait that long.

Not through outlay though, our squad depth has come from kids - literally. Amazing they’ve got us this far. Europa League knock outs, FA cup 5th round and 8th. Pinch yourselves given we’ve been playing 2 or more teenagers in every game.

3 wins in 16 league games - relegation form

17 points in 16 games. Not relegation form, even without the points we already have. The only defeats before tonight in that run away at Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Villa. Plus loads of players to come back.

It’s lower half form, which is probably the standard of most PL teams with half a first choice side missing for weeks on end.

It would also help if they brought in injury caps, and f***ing off on holiday caps . . . Or 'International duty' as its sometimes called

We have so missed Enciso, Solly and Mitoma. It's just a case of 'Don't panic Mr Manwaring' I predict a few weeks of shite and we should come good again hopefully for a couple of cup runs. I'd settle for one piece of silverware but two would be nice. Minor setback - I have full faith in our team and in RDZ. That said, tonight was un utter disgace - not as bad as Bristol Rovers trouncing us 8-2 under Clough at the Goldstone though! Think Alan Warboys hit 4!

Sure - because they’re some of the best kids in world football. That’s pretty much the point of what the club does.
