Luton who finished a mammoth 17 points behind second place Wrexham (98 points!!) will play for a place in the football league against York who won AET away at Mansfield.

Great news for me as I can now count Luton or York in my 92 club again.

Who do you want to play in the league next year?

Considering we will be two divisions away from them im not too bothered. Have voted for York as a ground I have not been to yet (could get them in the cup!)

Easy, York everytime... Luton deserve to languish in the Conference until the end of time... Shit club, shit town and shit fans!

On the other hand York is one of the nicest City's in the UK. I hope they can sell out their allocation for Wemberly.

Not the only game which could potentially decide a new member of the Football League tonight, of course.

Like all Newport County supporters, I'm delighted to see York City in the play-off final. Firstly, because they will have knackered themselves after 210 minutes of play-off semi-finals (which is exactly what County need to see, five days ahead of York's FA Trophy final against Newport at Wembley). And secondly, because they will turn up for their Trophy final knowing it doesn't really matter, because they have another Wembley match eight days later which is much more important. In the poll, I've voted for York - because it would be rude not to.

I'm just back from Wrexham v Luton. Luton were time wasting from the first minute and very frustrating. Wrexham were a tad unlucky in the end but didn't look a patch on the team we played in the cup.

Why on earth would ANYONE want Luton back in the Football league?

Err, cos I was born there before moving to Brighton.... and they offered a template to provincial clubs who wanted to play football properly and successfully (until about 1999).
And cos they also got the Archer ground f*** treatment, from which they are still recovering.

Nothing in common with Brighton?

I have no doubt there are very good reasons why there was never a Grand Old Duke Of Luton.
