I don't read it as minus 30. The new club would be taking the old club's place [the old club had minus 10], and starting afresh with minus 20. I think.

its a shame, several years ago they were a mid-table championship side, almost on the verge of the playoffs- this season they could be relegated to the conferance

i wonder how many seasons away from two pro leagues we are in england?

the fl and the rulings regarding cva/hmrc and the rest of the financial stuff needs a complete over haul. we got lucky, but i think that over haul will come much too late for too many clubs and that is a shame. the turkeys voted for christmas without realising what christmas was. it's done and that is unfortunate for those that follow. the mantra is there is no financial crisis, lather, rinse, repeat.

It's strange but I think starting with minus 30 points and effectively being doomed to non-league seems very very harsh. That said I supported the deducted for Leeds because Bates purposely tried to fleece creditors.

Hypocrytical of me ? Probably ..... maybe the rules need looking at as the only people really suffering are the fans ( and possibly creditors ).

I thought Leeds took the 20 points as an alternative to being relegated another division.

Surely with -10 already on the board, it would be better for Luton to play in the conference this season, although I realise that it would make a right buggers muddle of the fixtures that have already been published.

I'm sure that we'll lose several league clubs completely over the next few years, as "investors" will be hard to come by in the current financial climate.

I seem to remember that the original 10 point deduction was given by the football league as a punishment for breaking the rules regarding agents. The latest 20 points relate to a seperate charge concerning their cva.

Leeds were only deducted 15 points which on reflection means they got away very lightly. I dont suppose the FL would deduct 5 more points from them for this season , would they ? :lolol:

With Luton starting on -30 is there any speciality betting on them finishing with more points than Accrington Stanley ?

This is just rediculous.

If teh league want to relegate a club for going into administrartion, they should just do that.

By starting with -30 what does that do?

Its just madness
