Not a wind up, clearly head mental- so Greer is the only player we've been chasing during the close season and the signings of Sparrow, Poke and Painter didn't happen. Oh okay then.

Just how much of Greer have you seen anyway, he looked like a tidy ball playing defender and 'boro and sounded lively against Sunderland so what are you judging the basis of him being 'pony' on?

I'd question him for the first time if he does

he'll HAPPILY waste a summer on a nobby no name defender from a struggling league one club who has looked PONY in pre-season thus far yet would give up easily on a player who looked amazing last season?

You need to listen to some Coldplay

I didn't say only , if that was what I implied I apologise

and personally thought he was shite against Borough and against Whitehawk too

we'll see but so far definitely don't feel he was worth the hype personally

He was excellent against Sunderland Braders, i know you can only go by what you see, and that is all ive seen this summer but he looked EXACTLY what we have been missing, and Elph had a very good game along side him

Weren't Doncaster, or someone, in for him when we got him in the first place? I'm sure I remember that it was somehow a possibility but that we got him instead. Not sure why (if it actually did happen).

Yeah but they didnt want to give him to someone in their division.

Been going on too long now though. He still hasn't good an end product so I won't be too worried, though we do need a new LW and Morais isn't good enough.

I am pretty sure I have just seen Lua Lua in a Brighton training strip by the Sainsbury at City Point.

I use to see him regularly down there when he was with us last season.

The reason i'm not 100% sure is because I only saw him from behind!

Do we have any other players of the same race? I couldn't think of any unless he was a youth teamer.

No, the player you saw was Leon Knight. he was supposed to be jetting off to Portugal to join the lads this morning, but refused to board the aircraft because it didnt have a First Class cabin.

That's not so good then. :(
At least I didn't imagine it.

Hopefully he enjoyed it down here enough to prefer us.

Maybe, but the text looks to suggest that Newcastle want him to go to a CC Championship club, now they are back in the Prem?

I think this is what Newcastle would want, to give him maximum exposure. I'd imagine Newcastle will want to offload him [how long has he got left on his contact] assuming they stay up

Think he's only got a year left but they'd be due compensation if they offered him another and he moved.

There could be an issue of salary.

I should imagine that when we had him on loan we paid a proportion of his wages. If Doncaster were prepared - or in a position - to pay all of his wages then Newcastle would see that as a preferred route. However, if they think he'll get more football (of ther right type) AT bRIGHTON, THEN THEY MAY BE SWAYED BY THAT AND ACCEPT THERE IS A COST TO DOING THAT.

wE WON'T KNOW UNTIL IT HAPPENS.

(oops)

Would he be guaranteed a place in the team at Doncaster?

Newcastle probably want him to play in the Championship so they know whether or not he'll be good enough to retain after their 1 season in the Prem.
