Lua Lua - Broken Ankle

Mendoza

NSC's Most Stalked
From Chelsea Reserves page

Adam Phillip
Born 19/6/91 in Carshalton, Surrey.
A striker, late into the professional club system having been scouted aged 15 when playing Sunday park football with Sutton, Adam has played at England Under 17 international level.

Unfortunately the two previous seasons have been hampered by injury, including a cruciate rupture and Adam was limited to one youth and one reserve appearance in 2009/10, although he did net a hat-trick in the latter game.

In his first season he earned a 'supersub' reputation in the run to the 2008 FA Youth Cup Final, scoring three important goals, all from the bench. A quick, confident player.

No - why?

Just a name a Chelsea fan mentioned to me last week as someone who he had heard we were after for January. Might be the normal bollocks spouted out by people. But one for the mix perhaps?

Sounds decent enough from his profile - injury record may be a concern though. Not sure he would be the answer to our short-term problem but would love to be proved wrong. Whoever we bring in could well be unheard of on here as with many of Gus' signings.

To be fair, who had heard of Kaz when we signed him?

Tch, I go and hide under the covers for a day, ignoring NSC and other sites as I often do after a defeat, and THIS happens while I'm not around.

Gutted. I'm missing him already.

Well, thats the last we'll see of Lua Lua I fear. Any chance of him coming back when he's healed will probably be scotched by Newcastle not wanting to lend him back to the third division and the assembled cloggers waiting for him in this poxy league.

Sickening news.

Yep, I'd say they will not go a loan to this division in the New Year. It looks like buy him or nothing now.

Gutted.

The name Sergi Roberto Carnicer, has just been mentioned as a possible loan target for us, anyone heard this, or about him, apparently he's a Barca youth player

Is Jamie Smith not worth another look then ? I thought he'd done pretty well for us in his (limited) chances so far this season. I like the look of him.

Sounds highly unlikely- he's a Spanish U19 international, a regular in Barca's reserves and made his debut for the first team last week. Can't see him coming here.
