Isn’t Zaha their best paid player on a very good wage. He’s playing for his local team and he’s their star player. I’m sure he’d probably take double the wages to play elsewhere, but I don’t see why he’d be in any rush to leave Palace.

He tried to leave, but Parish set a £100m transfer fee. Resulting in early season sulking, brainless oafs slagging off Zaha online, then he got used to the circumstances.

He has one last chance in his career to play for a team whose ambition is more than to finish 11th with a mid-40s points target every season. You know, something mad like qualifying for Europe.

Good mate of mine has been Palace for a long time, he reckons Zaha won't kick another ball for them.
Where does he go though? Can’t think of any club that would be seriously interested and meet his wage demands.

He’s a big fish in a small pond and will stay at Palace

If we lose both then I'll need to positive incoming transfer news to soften the blow.

I thought the recent BBC podcast with Glenn Murray was utterly outstanding. To summarise his view of Zaha’s career in one word, I’d have to choose ‘wasted’.

So, which club is Caicedo joining then?
As I keep banging on about - I just hope he stays. Think we could cope without Ali Mac but not as confident we'd take on the 'big clubs's' without a player like Moises in there. Fingers crossed no-one comes in for him but that looks unlikely.

I suspect Arsenal, Utd and Liverpool will be interested. Hope for different reasons they're not e.g. they go big for Rice, Mount etc

As others have said, Mac Allister is possible to replace. Caicedo is a once in a generation type player. I really, really hope he changes his mind and chooses to stay for the European Tour. Please Moises!

In truth, he could go into ANY top team in Europe, playing any style, and be world class (and I don't use that word lightly) in breaking up play.

I love Alexis. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player so upset about leaving a club to supposedly better themselves. Maybe he should just stay…….
I was having a look at estimated prem league player salaries, the first Brighton player on the list was Welbeck at number 206 on 2.8m Ali Mac is joint 228 on 2.6 in the list of midfielders he is joint 80th. Unfortunately its not just about glory, in relative terms he is massively underpaid. I don't know how accurate these numbers are but it serves as an idea. https://www.spotrac.com/epl/rankings/midfielder/

To me it means that there are far too many average players getting massively overpaid. £2.6m a year is still a LOT of money.

His father seems quite pushy I get it’s a short career an all yet he helped us achieve Europe shame he won’t see it through and I think he may have wanted to.

Love RDZ but do wish he'd lay off the 'deserve better, to play at a higher level' etc. I appreciate we're not Real Madrid, but it doesn't really need reiterating that 'We are Brighton, no?'

Ali and Caicedo will soon no longer be 'My pleyer' sadly.

Here’s some audio

The audio puts into better context and perspective, it's not quite as harsh but I did read that maybe in another of these post-match interviews he also said "the policy of Brighton is like this."
Edit: here it is

I'm sure being the passionate and prideful coach he is he'd love to keep them, and this pragmatic way of looking at your current possibilities hurts his pride a bit just as much as it hurts the fans', but he ultimately knows that it's the wisest and most practical perspective and so he repeats the club's line and policy.

He's not new to this by the way, Sassuolo have basically been the corner shop of the big clubs in Italy, including us. You thankfully have bigger resources and ceiling than Sassuolo though, even if you're up against much richer clubs than Serie A's top ones.

He's just guessing.

If Zaha was 100% leaving, he would have had a send-off today.

But he didn't.

He may still be at Palace next season - if he doesn't get a decent offer elsewhere.

Fernando Redondo is the one we should get to replace Moises.

He’s currently playing for Argentinos Juniors (same club we got Alexis from). He’s impressing at the u20 World Cup. Best way to compare him is to a Busquets cross Rodri hybrid.
Federico Redondo?
The sort of player that you’d hope would be on our radar but I expect may be out of our range. Hopefully not.
