Well, this time last year Liverpool were still a win games and trophies machine. Get the defence and centre midfield revamped and they we’ll be fine.

Mac A might join Abu Dhabi, no one really knows anything.

Real Madrid won’t be buying another midfielder for a few seasons. Bellingham joins Kroos, Tchouameni, Camavinga, Valverde and some world class veterans, plus they’re mortgaged up their eyeballs.

We are in the ’top 6’ but unless TB sells a lion share of the Seagulls to a sports washing outfit in Abu Dhabi or such, we will never be a ‘Big 6’.

That’s why we buy investment players ( academy/or first team/loan ready young talent) and sell on to a ‘higher level’ club as their football development demands and often at record levels of appreciation of their original market value before we trained them.

Think about Cucu and Pervis. We got in a better player, with more experience AFTER we sold him. Our tactic isn't simply to promote youth teamers into the first team to replace our best players. That's become a myth. There's probably at least twenty names to replace both Mac and Moises.

I think a lot of people seem to think that the production line of talent will go on forever. It won't, and when our luck runs out we will be back to being a lower PL club or even worse. I don't get how some people are pretty accepting of this policy of selling our best players.

Because it's probably best for Brighton that we let them go when a) they've served us well and b) we get a good fee. We don't have a production line of talent, we buy young talent and develop them. It's possible we can keep that going, and if we're able to keep competing towards the top of the league, we'll hopefully be able to keep the best players for a bit longer.

Because holding onto players who want to go is completely counter productive :

1. Alexis has served us wonderfully, he wants a move. If we deny it to him when it’s been offered by a top club we end up with a demotivated player that could unsettle the squad.

2. We will only keep attracting the best young talent if they can see we are a club that won’t stand in their way if the my earn a move to a top club. We stop letting them move, they stop coming in the first place.

Alexis Mac has done everything right, he signed a new contract so we get top money for him, he hasn’t downed tools once and even though he knew he was leaving he kept performing right to the end.

I guess you are advocating we just keep hold of all these players who want to move on and no offence but that’s just totally naive.

Maybe TB has promised RDZ a sizeable chunk of the transfer fees to build his own squad it’s not his squad as yet. His own stamp on the squad could be fecking amazing for next season.

Two things:

Firstly, our successful recruitment is not luck. That is more than established.

Secondly, anyone who doesn’t accept selling a player or two every season is welcome to put in their own cash to fund continued 20-30m per season losses that would occur otherwise.

And when said player says to the club 'ok, you've got the big offer and I've done my time' the clubs let them go and wish them well - except for Palace who simply laugh in Zaha's face and say 'Hahahahaha does it say we'll let you go in your contract? No. Back to work fool.'

Both Ali Mac and Moises have shown the babies (Sanchez, Cucu, Trossard) the proper way to engineer a move. Moisés’ Twitter post in January was most likely naivety and manipulative agents. Both have knuckled down, played out of their skins and proved their ability and more importantly, their character. They are probably the most valuable they will be under a Brighton contract. Whilst I’m sure we would all like them to stay, I highly doubt very few will begrudge them moving on Early in the window for a good fee Allowing us time and money to find replacements.

Isn’t Zaha their best paid player on a very good wage. He’s playing for his local team and he’s their star player. I’m sure he’d probably take double the wages to play elsewhere, but I don’t see why he’d be in any rush to leave Palace.

When it comes down to it who would we rather watch exciting talent like Mitoma and Enciso we signed for less than that ex Celtic plodder Palace signed and pay a fortune to in wages. Or keep players hostage like HaHa and pay them £200k a week because we are scared what will happen if we let them go

when you're sitting on a balcony in a luxury hotel overlooking a wonderous exotic sunrise, someone will always want to come along and piss in your cornflakes.

This is the best time to be an Albion fan ever. It won't last forever. It can't last forever. When it ends, it might be painful but we can have a great time now by living in the present and not worrying about things that are not in our control.

If MacAllister and Caicedo leave, their time here will have been a massive success both on the pitch and financially. By leaving, they create opportunities for other players. RDZ seems to be happy with this. That's how we roll. This will continue for a while but it might not be successful forever. When it fails, we'll have some amazing memories.

For now, just enjoy our ever best season and the promise of a European tour. You can keep the cornflakes, I'm skipping breakfast.

The summer transfer window will soon be open and 99.9% of us have no idea what RDZ OR CLUB will have up their sleeve. In a way we are all in the same boat as Forest Gump. His mother once said " life is like a box of chocolates, you just don't know what you gonna get" it worked for him. I'm personally looking forward to seeing how our summer window plays out. It could be worse folks, we could be Spurs who have a narrow minded chairman who seem to have no one wanting their job, according to sources tonight, they approached Phillip Schofield today and offered him the mangers job but he thanked them politely but declined as it may ruin his reputation!

He can't like them that much - he tells them he is leaving every summer.
