Great appointment, point was made that he slagged off the Swansea squad as a reason for not joining, if that post was accurate. The Leeds squad was weak too yet he accepted that
Ah - but Swansea have won nothing, whereas the Champions of Europe were a much bigger draw...

Lampard would be a bad move for both parties, Simon Jordan is absolutely right.

He has a young family and a TV / radio presenter wife and they are settled in Surrey. Palace are his local side but he interviewed for that job and had a difference of football philosophy with the owners, so Vieira got that job. Hodgson has now been signed for the whole season.

Personally, I think he should take on either QPR or Charlton. He is a London boy and better used to working with young players. They will look up to him in a way Prem players won't, while Brentford and Fulham have both shown it is possible to break into the Prem Top 10 in the shadow of of one of the Big 6.

How can any side, even one in the MTL, look at Lampard's record and think he is a viable option?
Rangers have horrendous taste in managers. They will choose them based on any criteria other than managerial ability. They love ex-Players, the Dutch (so they can have celebratory orange kits), they’ll want Lampard because he’s ex Chelsea and a Tory that loved the Queen 🇬🇧

Will his ego let him take them on, though?
