Long Live The Dean Wilkins Era

It feels right to have Wilkins as a long term manager. I am prepared to be patient as I have faith he will bring glory days to this club in the long term.

The squad is young, and he insists we need to learn from all the experiences we experience, but it is not just the players because of their young age, Dean will also be learning too and I think it will help him develop better as a manager if he stayed with us.

I have utter faith we will be in the top flight in about 20 years time, and I believe Wilkins has the ability to get us like Curbishley did for Charlton.

Fingers crossed mate! Honestly he has done nothing to install that sort of confidence in me (neither did MM) he makes some strange changes and tactical desicisons when we are getting beat. However next year will be the year to look at, he will be able to assemble his own team between now and then.

i also believe he will be busy getting in players as he has currently surprised all of us with his activity in the market.

Has he?

He's signed a crock on loan, a good full back on loan (with a bit of help from MA), a crap winger, a crap striker, an unknown bloke from a non league side, and an inexperienced defender from Arsenal.

One good signing.
One signing who will be here next season.
Things are bad now - what the hell are they going to be like when we don't have ANY loan players to rely on?

And what did McGhee actually do for us?

As you asked - he got us promoted and kept us in the Championship for a season.

But that's irrelevant - i'm not comparing Wilkins to McGhee. I'm just pointing out that he's not actually all that good

people keep going on about Tottenham all the time when we was on a bad run of form, and still managed to push them.

I think people were expecting to much and are disappointed because of it.

I expected to get beat more than 3-0. I expected west ham to be awesime after the 6-0 last week. Not disappointed at all, disappointed with our league position though.

Abort, retry, fail
League One is a very tricky league. Last season, up until about ten games left, there were 20 points seperating top and bottom. I am not too bothered about our league position, but we can easily get drawn into the relegation quagmire.

Adrie, there really is no need to belittle McGhee's efforts for the club.

Do your research will you, Spurs was in a middle of a 7-match unbeaten league run.

"He bled us white, the bastard. He's taken everything we had, and not just from us, from our fathers, and from our fathers' fathers."
"And from our fathers' fathers' fathers."
"Yeah."
"And what did McGhee ever give us in return?!"
"The aqueduct?"
"What?"
"The aqueduct."
"Oh. Yeah, yeah. he did give us that. Uh, that's true. Yeah.
"And the sanitation."
