I said it before but got lambasted - ManC, Chelsea, Leicester and now ManU all adore playing us. The open ness and lack of pace in our team is remarkable. Whilst other lower budget PL teams somehow have a knack of making life bloody hard for those clubs, sometimes stealing famous results. CP, Newcastle, Bmuff for example. My observation is they achieve that from having plenty of pace in FB and forward positions, so 7 players minimum can stay back and defend, whist 3 players with pace can mug them. They may usually lose, but they’ve also nicked wins and draws.

It is a bit strange. I thought Alzate was a certainty for this game, we’re missing him IMO.

Have to say am starting to loathe this 3 at the back. Go back to Dunk and Duffy, buy a better rightback in the window and a better leftback if Potter doesn't rate Bernado.

Said it all season, 3 at the back is not a great formation against good teams.

You need to be compact between the CBs, not 10-15 yards apart.
