He really looks the real deal. How players like Krygiakos, Poulsen and Ngog are first team regulars at Liverpool I don't know.

Lavezzi is so good, people can't spell his name right.
I think this is the worst Liverpool team I've ever seen. Rubbish from back to front, Pepe Reina stands out like a sore thumb in that team. The problem is, Liverpool have only rested 2 good players! So, the majority of that load of crap out there tonight will play Chelsea on sunday. Roy has a massive job on there, and he's going to need alot of luck in the transfer market, and time to get it right there, I don't think he's going to get either. It's not his fault he inherited such a pile of rubbish though.
For what it's worth, I think Raul Meireles is a fantastic player though, mr Denton. His touch tonight has been shocking though, certainly not his best game so far.

Fair enough! My girlfriend's family are Liverpool fans so I watch a lot of their games. It just seems to me that their business the past few seasons in the transfer market has been abysmal - despite the owner situation. Xabi Alonso (one of the best midfielders in the world) was a mistake - then replacing him with Aquilani.. what a disaster. THEN exactly the same thing with Mascherano - replacing him with Poulsen (very average player as a former Danish citizen - he is openly mocked by the media there for only being able to play the ball sideways) or Meireles who seems to neither be a box to box midfielder, nor a holding midfielder..
I always got shot down by her family for saying that only Reina, Gerrard and Torres were good enough - I'm not even sure Gerrard is. It's all down to Spain's #2 goalkeeper and the most out of form striker on the planet now

I think the majority of people are going to struggle to disagree with you, their transfer business has been rubbish for years. All the good players have been sold and replaced with mediocre ones, and the Benitez flops are still polluting this team. I'm sure that if Roy had been given a proper budget in the summer, and if he'd been there before the World Cup, this season could have been very different.
That said, how much did Meireles cost, any ideas? I think he was £10million plus. The money spent on him could have been much better invested. I like him as a player, but they need a striker or two and a proper left winger.

I liked Riera - always thought he was a decent player as far as out and out wingers go..

One of the many mistakes Benitez made, he alienated so many good players to an extent they felt they had to leave. And yet, he thinks he did a good job there. Farcical. Riera was a good player for Liverpool.

What a player Gerrard can be. The thing about Liverpool is that though the supporting cast are pretty tosh, the A list aren't bad. Reina, Gerrard and Torres would get in just about any side in the world. It's just the rest they need to sort out.. easy eh!
Hard not to be impressed by that whoever one supports. Came on, took the game by the throat and won it...simples
