Indeed. And we owe it to ourselves, as it helps.I hope we have enough belief in us. After all this team we have, has shown enough belief. We owe it to them to be noisey no matter what.
It's a two way street. Yes, the performance on the pitch affects the mood of the fans, but the atmosphere we create also affects how the players play, so we can help if we dig deep even when, as Raleigh Chopper puts it, our guts are like a washing machine. It doesn't matter which football team you support, when the chips are down or when you're challenging for success (like us), what happens on the pitch will determine the mood of the crowd.
...
If the team show PASSION then so will the fans, and respond accordingly.
Indeed, sometimes it's not easy to cheer the team on, we just have to try.I am trying to be positive but the old guts are like a washing machine.
Thanks, I've been working up to a good one.Good thread.
Precisely.the atmosphere and support is never less than electric away from home -- and that means attempting to pick the team up if/when things aren't going too well.
Absolutely. Albion fans, like all others, can be as loud as any. the game that will always stick in my mind for this in the amex era, was the match against Burnley a few years ago, when two were sent off. The crowd was incensed at this, and really willed the team on, and we would have drawn, had CMS not shot straight at the keeper late on . . .It doesn't matter which football team you support, when the chips are down or when you're challenging for success (like us), what happens on the pitch will determine the mood of the crowd.
Play fast flowing, attractive, football and scoring goals will have the fans behind the team, obviously. But it's when the team are struggling that the isolated incidents can really spur the crowd on. For example, the last ditch all or nothing, totally committed tackle; the mazy, beat three opponents with the ball run; losing possession and fighting to win the ball back; hitting the post or crossbar with a thirty yard screamer.
If the team show PASSION then so will the fans, and respond accordingly. Which is exactly how we, the Albion, both as team and fans will show in the next five games.
For me there's something very fake about Klopp's whole persona that I can't quite put my finger on.
Edited it to mimic my own experience. We're the East Stand, we're the East Stand, we're the....<stops> <looks around> Sorry, my bad, sorry

...being so close to some major success is the worst I have felt since FA Cup and Hereford.
