Liverpool fans had belief, will we?

Agreed.

I think he's noticed the way the press in this country gush and fawn over him and absolutely every little thing he does, rather like new parents coo-ing over their sprog, lapping up everything.

So now he's amplified that. He'll pull a funny face, he'll say "boom" into the camera, he'll mug and gurn on the touchline, he'll come out with a slightly odd one-liner. He's clearly a charismatic bloke, but he's actively turning it up to the max now because of the reception he receives for it. He's just loving all the attention and worship.

But it is all a bit of an act. Just like Wurzel and his post match stand-up comedy routines for the press, with his pre-prepared quips and observations. It does get tiresome quite quickly.
Can't stand him. Anyone who consistently amuses themselves by what they say is a tool.

The Kop? I've shit it. Nothing can stand in our way when they hear the mighty roar of snoring and the rustle, rustle, rustle of the Werthers original packets coming from the "east stand lower ultras" . Ah yes. The immense clamour of voices whispering "excuse me, I need a wee" and the soft padding of loafers heading towards the exits 15 minutes before the final whistle will literally paralyse our opponents.

Brighton fans although more than capable of raising the roof have an inbuilt assumption that it's all going to go tits up and this season, being so close to some major success is the worst I have felt since FA Cup and Hereford.
I am trying to be positive but the old guts are like a washing machine.
I think our fans have done a great job considering the nerves, but we do have a very good squad.
I think people are now looking at the last game and bricking it if it does not go our way on the last day and so into the lottery of the play offs where we have failed twice.

Sent from my toilet, with nerves all down the back of the pan.

Nail on head for me. I feel perpetually sick.

I'm not suffering that much, but the games can be quite bad.

Of course losing to Palace was crap, but I wasn't in a rush to get to the PL. We hadn't been at the Amex long and I knew I'd keep enjoying it in the Championship. 3 years later and I don't want us to miss out on our best chance yet. If we're still here next year, our team could well be weaker, and again we'll have to face some FFP cheats, making it another uphill struggle.

After 30 years of supporting the club I've never seen us in the top flight and there's no guarantee we'll ever be promoted, which makes the thought of missing out quite depressing.

You are not really helping Triggaar.

There's no doubting the '12th man' have raised their game over the last couple of months.

Although I find it hard to believe Albion fans can inspire a 3 goal comeback, we're still far to reactive and not proactive.

As pointed out earlier in this thread, it was pretty quiet at Anfield at 2-0 and 3-1 apart from the Germans. Fantastic atmosphere at the end, no doubt about that.

Fans usually react to what is happening on the pitch, rather than the other way round.

Regarding my earlier post irrespective of how you feel now imagine how you will feel if it goes to the last game and we don't make it, you will still be gutted and sick I know I will be and I think many more as well, especially with all those home fans who will be celebrating.
Will they take the piss or sympathise?
It could be horrible but let's hope it does not come to that.
And at least we have the safety net of the play offs.
Sorry for negativity just saying how I and I presume many others are feeling about that last match.
Thing is we will be celebrating if we win tonight but it brings that final match closer.

I thought that once the Liverpool players woke up and started to play, the crowd did wake up and get behind the team. (I have to confess that I missed Liverpools's 1st and Dortmund's 3rd.)

Liverpool needed 4 goals in the second half and the fans didn't give in. Can we cheer our team on when we're up against it? Can we be the twelfth man?

Put it this way, even as a Boro fan (who incidently eclipsed Liverpool's achievements in the UEFA last night by smashing 4 in 60 minutes that we needed in both the quarters and semis ten years ago, just don't mention the final...) I believe Brighton are likely to go up, hopefully at the expense of Sean Dyche's cloggers which would be music to my ears.

Brighton's squad seem to have more belief than Burnley's do right now at the crunch. You'll jump them tonight and they may well reclaim a place in the autos tomorrow, but hopefully Boro can get something at Turf Moor so you can get clear....

I imagine we'll be supporting you for that one.
