Interesting that nakajima was 4th fastest in Practice that suggests the car is very quick as he cant drive as well as my aunty vera in a austin allegro.Rosberg is pulling a flanker and will storm qualifying and win the race at 33-1 ile get huge amounts of dosh from the bookie and then wake up.

Mclaren are just paying the price for concentrating so much effort on winning the championship last year. Wonder how long it will be before they cut their losses on this years car and prepare for next season? Guess they need to know if F1 will still be around next season first.

I'm just putting it down to a learning curve for our Lewis. I'm sure this will just make the world champion stronger and more hungry to succeed again when he gets the car he deserves.

Yes Kovalained has outqualified Lewis - although Monaco may have had something to do with Lewis hitting the wall rather than Heikki being quicker... Lewis has outqualified Heikki 4 times in 6 races. After today it's 4-3 to Hamilton.

The comparison with Alonso is pathetic.

For a start, we've only had 6 races this season. In those races Hamilton has beaten Alonso 4 times on the race track. Technically it's 3 but I don't think you can complain about his DQ after the team instructions f*** up in Australia as a reflection of his driving ability.

So, in a shit car, Hamilton has at the very least, matched Alonso.

Maybe you're saying Alonso did well in a bad car last season? In which case you're comparing 6 races this season to a whole season of racing last year? Seems a little unfair? Besides, Alonso only really did well towards the end of the season when the Renault was actually pretty good..

Hamilton did very well in Australia (forget getting DQ'd his racing was v.good), came 7th in Malaysia (need I mention he beat Alonso there?), 6th in Shanghai and that could have been better as he was actually 4th when the race was red flagged (oh and he err.. beat Alonso AGAIN), 4th in Bahrain (do I really need to keep on with this thing in brackets mentioning that he beat Alonso? Well err, he did), 9th in Barcelona (well done Fernando you've finally beaten Lewis!), and a poor 12th in Monaco after he'd shown good pace but walled it in Qualy (and don't diss him for that, many have, including the great Schumacher). Without the team f***ing up in Australia leading to the DQ he'd be above Fernando in the drivers standings.

What I'm saying is that Alonso is a better driver than Hamilton as things stand. He doesn't get red mist, he just gets the best out of the car. The Renault is arguably not as good a car as the McClaren, it's just that Alonso is a more consistent driver who drives with his head and not his heart. How many times has Alonso made mistakes this season. Surely your not going to be dumb enough ( or should that read so biased) to suggest as often as Hamilton. I haven't checked but it seems to me that Alonso has outqualified Hamilton in most races this season?

Cast your mind back to the season that they raced together, Hamilton did as well as he did because he is a talented driver and was in the best car but mainly because the team set his car up on data gained from Alonso and he was the favoured driver by McClaren. Last season Hamilton had the best car but only just managed to beat Massa because he f***ed up in so many races ( driving into another car in the pit lane being the most memorable) and didn't have Alonso's expertise to draw on in car set up.

Don't get me wrong I love watching Lewis drive but he is not the best driver on the grid let alone an all time great. That may come but at the moment he is just a very exciting driver who doesn't seem to be able to come to terms with the fact that he's got a shit car for the 1st time in his career. Imo he has underperformed too often to be considered a "great". Alonso is undoubtably an all time great and managed to win 2 WC driving against quite possibly the greatest ever driver..Schumacher.

Pathetic to suggest Alonso is a better driver? Are you sure your opinions are not coloured by the fact that Hamilton is English?

Lewis should tell Whitmarsh to f*** his contract. Just tear it up in front of his face and find a team for next season capable of delivering a car even vaguely respectable. This McLaren is a farce and their lack of progress bearing in mind their resources shows how f***ing useless they are. Lewis doesn't deserve it and his fans don't deserve it. BOOOO.

This is his 1st bad car since he started being backed at about 11 to McClaren and you want him to have a hissy fit and stamp his feet? Good to know he's looking forward to next years car now and behaving in a far more mature way than it appears you would.
