Frank Turner tonight for me and the missus at the Corn Exchange, really looking forward to it.

Same here. I hear he is one them selfish libertarian types?

Ah, that went over my head. I have that long player as well.

All alone, or in twos,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.
And when they've given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it's not easy
Banging your heart against some mad bugger's wall.

also featured as a line in the trial...

Good morning, Worm your honor.
The crown will plainly show
The prisoner who now stands before you
Was caught red-handed showing feelings
Showing feelings of an almost human nature.
This will not do.
Call the schoolmaster!
I always said he'd come to no good
In the end your honor.
If they'd let me have my way I could have
Flayed him into shape.
But my hands were tied,
The bleeding hearts and artists
Let him get away with murder.
Let me hammer him today.
Crazy...toys in the attic I am crazy,
Truly gone fishing.
They must have taken my marbles away.

A true masterpiece I never tire of listening too...

The Waterboys are touring Australia for the first time ever and at the Perth Concert Hall on Saturday Feb 2, can't wait, haven't seen them since the Greenpeace benefit they did with The Cure at RAH a lifetime ago....

Any one else see The Fall in Hove last night?

Great evening and M E Smith on top form- spending half the set hidden behind one of the speakers. Plenty of knob twiddling and reading lyrics from screwed up paper. His wife on keyboards looking as attractive as ever in red coat with additional vocals maintaining control. Highlights were Duped, Sparta and White Lightening. Two encores and a very lively mosh pit. Altogether well worth the £20.

Off to the O2 tonight to see Florence and the machine. Maybe a bit mainstream but she's got one hell of a voice and puts on a good show.

Primal Scream next Tuesday at wonderfully small Astor Theatre in Mt.Lawley, I know I've posted that already but I'm rather fired up about it, yet another 20 year gap between seeing a band in England and Australia......

Anybody going to London tomorrow night to see Mission of Burma? I saw them in Leeds last night and they were on fire. Absolute legends!
