Heres a stat: Fernando Torres (3 in 36), Andy Carroll (5 in 31) and Luis Suarez (10 in 36) have scored as many goals in a combined 103 league matches as Lionel Messi has in 7

He'd need to be Gus'ed and a bit of time on the bench first.

By my reckoning he has scored in his last 8 games for club and country, winning them all and amassing 20 goals in the process. His scoring sequence is 1, 4, 1, 3, 5, 2, 1, 3.

How could Messi ever play at the Amex?

Ten years to get into the Premier, work our way up to a third place finish (or fourth and qualify), draw Barcelona (long shot) in the league stage of the Champions League, or come second in the league stage and get drawn against Barcelona?

Hope he gets injured then people might say that he's not interested, his career is over and that it's all in his head. A certain free transfer to the Albion.

Jesus don't. I can barely contain my excitement about Vicente, even wildly dreaming about this will cause me to explode in a gooey mess.

It shows what a mickey mouse league La Liga is if any striker can score that many goals - the opposition for this last match were Granada for fudge sake! It's like the SPL but with better weather.

That is some stat. Says a lot about LM as well as Torres, Carroll & Suarez.

Ah yes Athletic Club Bilbao....who last won La Liga in the 83/84 season.

I'm confused? So you're saying they're a poor team in what you call a Mickey Mouse league, yet they can thump the best (or certainly one of the best) team in England? What does that make the English leagues then?

Lionel Messi is the best player in the world at the moment, but if he doesn't win a World Cup in his career. Like the great Pele or Maradona did, yes I did say Maradona. Then he will never be called one of the greatest players in the world. IMHO.
