The notion that it was all going to be resolved tonight was off the wall. And therefore Jed has strung us all along. AGAIN.
I'll be watching the next series. Can't wait. My 14yo is keen to get involved, so we'll watch all past series in the run-up to the next -- hopefully final -- one, and enjoy it enormously.

Disappointed end to a great programme. Reminds me of the Bristol City game we lost when a win would have made us champions. I felt empty

A damp squib, what a letdown.
In earlier series a really big fish was caught, often in great drama.
This time a low ranking officer was the last man standing, in a nothing interview (albeit with a secret £3m in ill-gotten properties).
A huge gaff from Mercurio.
Paving the way I hope for another series, shootouts and the downfall of Osborne.

They were clearly too busy writing the new submarine thing to come up with a decent ending for this.

Ha, I knew I’d come on here and that epsiode would he panned.
I thought it was good. The series and expectation had got so big, the ending was always going to seem underwhelming to a lot of people.
I thought the fact that Buckles was the lynchpin was actually quite clever. It had all gone so over the top about who H or the 4th man was it, it was really hard to pin all of that on one crime mastermind.
To have a bit of an idiot, totally motivated by greed, used by various different OCG’s made a lot of sense to me.
It does also leave it open ended for another series or more and as we know Mercurio was inspired to write this due to real life events, I also thought the closing line was deliberately political and pointed.

Great point, the last 30 minutes did not have the feel of a crescendo. Instead, flat as a pancake.

Blimey - a load of wannabe writers on here who know they can do better than someone who has gripped them and the nation for 6 series. Enjoyed the finale (albeit not spectacular and certainly not the best of the series) but it's in keeping with the state of the world in that the useless bumbling one somehow finds himself in charge and any attempt at weeding out corruption has never been weaker.
