How soon is now?
I was told today that it’s been downgraded to PG, but I struggle to believe that. The People’s front of Judea sketch surely wouldn’t pass for PG?
truly as applicable , pertinent or poignant today as it was all those years ago when it was banned from cinemas in sussex when it was first released .....a stunning indightment of human stupidity and in my view if was released today would still be ahead of its time .....kudos and RIP to Terry Jones , Graham Chapman A
and did i hear Terry Gillian died also .....absolute cinematic genius ......bats spleens , ocelots earlobes , otters noses.....always look on the bright side ...
Spike had a full days filming.
They shot what you've seen, broke for lunch, but Spike never returned!!
My favourite film. Would have to be adapted in the modern age but is still funny start to finish. I still laugh when I shouldn't..
As an aside, has anyone ever spotted Spike Milligan's cameo ?
What have the Tories ever done for us?
Yeah, but what did the Romans ever do for us?

I saw it in Worthing when it came out at the Odeon, and I'm pretty sure that was in 1979.
Definite about the date, I was talking about it a few weeks back to my mate who came with me to see it. We both remembered still being creased up with laughter about the film when we got back to our car which was parked just round the corner from the Odeon. (I was 26 back in 1979)
