He's already turned out to be right - we are making the bids for top-quality CB's that we hope will become better than anyone we currently have at the club. Let's hope we manage to sign them
We haven't got them yet, and still may not if TB considers the price not to offer value for money. What CH has said (and many on here, including BG) is that it would be good to get that quality HGP CB in - but that we're OK at the moment. Yes, we'd like to get that special one in, but sky won't fall in if we don't.
Confirmed by reputable sources. I know you rely on Football Rumours but, believe me, you are just plain wrong on this.

Because the manager didn’t think he was Premier League standard. The fact that Duffy was our major signing in the 2016 summer window and has never been dropped for Goldson in 2 seasons tells you that CH didn’t think he was quite good enough.
Goldson is a stylish defender that will shine in the Scottish premiership, where the majority of his opponents will be lower half Championship standard.
