it depends what we value him at as we won't go further than that. if the agent says the club would accept 2 million over what we value him, then we sill wouldn't bid. we don't really let selling clubs 'name their price', as it were, if the player doesn't fit our price bracket then though, so i doubt we'd increase an offer just because an agent or the selling club said so unless its within our valuation.

If reports are correct , we've already offered £8m + £3m in add ons. It hasn't lasted any longer than most of our other signings in recent years (given we're not always given a running commentary). Albion are one of the richest clubs in the country. And bought three £10m+ players last season, so if we land him, it would hardly be a surprise.
Hmmmm maybe. Tony isn't exactly known for paying over the odds though, and certainly won't engage in a bidding war should one develop. Only time will tell l guess.

If we do manage to sign him, I reckon it'll mean Duffy's getting dropped.
