Liam Brady was a great player and his Irish charm diverted our attention during some of our darkest hours. Unfortunately he is a shite football manager, which is why he is happy to go through the motions with young Arsenal players who haven't got a hope in hell of breaking into the first team.

I'm afraid Icy Gull's right JTM. While Brady is a top man, an in-the-trenches kinda guy who wouldn't head out of Withdean's revolving door the moment some tinpot Div One club with limited potential came knocking, but he aint' a great manager. We were flattered that such a legendary figure showed an interest in the Albion in our darkest hour, but he unintentionally flattered to deceive (doesn't that sound like the biggest load of bollox you've ever read? Well that last sentence anyway, but you get the idea).

Liam Brady was given very little boarde support couldve done wonders and i for one would be reasonably happy to happy with the appointment if it is him great bloke genuine appeared to care about club was happy to talk to the fans face to face and given backing i think he could make a very good Manager him and Dean Wilkins would be a great jolint Managers role for the club could open up some very interesting play. That was a great moment, i do remember that. He did care for the club , but not a good manager. He didnt achieve much with us. If it was down to passion alone he would be the best choice, but then again all of us on this site have the same amount of passion for the club.

I think the majority on here each have more passion for the club than a combined passion of all previous Albion managers. They don't even come close to feeling for this club what we feel.

Wasn't it this chairman that sacked him?
He did not get the backing he required from this chairman, which is why he did not do too well post move to Gillingham. This chairman did not want him around as he was appointed by the previous regime.

I remember us being woeful with dwindleing support.then when Brady took over all of a sudden he got a few loan signings in and we looked a different side and the support grew.it was only when the board situation started to become apparent it went down hill a bit.who remembers the comeback against Bournemouth when we were 3-1 down.did that North Stand erupt that day.
