I have changed my mind from suggesting Steve McMahon as the best new manager.

I would now go for Liam Brady if he would accept the job.

I assuming Liam Brady has got some sense and I would NOT expect him to accept the job unless the first brick, (or prefabricated piece of stand) is laid for the New Stadium. And that would apply to any in-work Manager.

As for Steve Coppell, he would be the Manager who sold our best player and got us relegated.

Steve Coppell must have been a workaholic to have accepted the Albion job in the first place.

I was not too impressed by SC until he signed Zesh. Better than expected though. In Albion's position, I could not see us getting anybody better and he is the right man for the Albion job right now.

For a stop gap Manager I would tend to go for Dave Merrington. He is out of work. Perhaps, I would revise this, and just put him on the short-list.

The way you change your mind Perseus, thank God you're not making the decisions:)

Dwayne, shame you missed the days of Mullery, Cattlin, Melia etc THOSE were the days that the Goldstone erupted and against class sides with crowds of 30,000. Brady was a sideshow in comparison and not a very good one.

i was there for the glory days but it had just been so stale before Brady came in and all of a sudden things looked brighter for a while. The north stand started to surge again.
