I thought you said you were moving on?

To answer your question, yes, I'm his agent, and everything's fine - his passport is in the post and he'll be unveiled in Brighton colours within the next 2 weeks.

This is Granada's Local Rag.

Ulloa, slo a tocateja

The interest of Granada CF striker Leo Ulloa has not yet been transferred to a deal with his current team, the UD Almería. This was confirmed by sporting director set Almeria, Alberto Benito, who made it clear that no one yesterday granadinista club has been in touch with them to discuss the transfer of the player. Everything can be a matter of hours. For now, as noted in yesterday's edition the newspaper As there seems to be an agreement of Granada with Ulloa. So everything would be pending negotiations between the two entities. The agreement will not be easy. Almeria president Alfonso Garcia, said that will only leave the player in exchange for hard cash.

The club has priced the player at a figure that would be between two million and a half to three million euros and you pay will be the one to take the upper hand. The manager says he set Almeria earlier chastened with transfers in which several players left the institution without seeing it 'hard'.

This is the case of Kalu Uche Ikechukwu Uche-brother, who played last season on loan at Granada CF-which after being in Almeria for five seasons, between 2005 and 2011, he transferred to Swiss Neuchatel then trained Joaquin Caparrós and ultimately did not meet Agree on how to pay a transfer amount of which amounted to a million and a half euros.

Alfonso Garcia also remembered that something similar happened with the now granadinista Juanma Ortiz when he signed for Scottish Ranger at the end of the 2010-11 season. Currently, according to Almeria, Brighton only team that plays in the English second division, has shown its willingness to pay what is asked. The problem lies in the club only if he would sign Ulloa EU passport. The player has long requested, but surely not have the right papers before the end of the month.

Moreover, the rights of Ulloa not correspond entirely to the UD Almería, which has 50 percent of its' property '. The other half is a former executive of the company, 40 percent, and soccer players, 10 percent. Therefore, if an agreement was reached for two and a half million, the Andalusian club would receive only half the amount, ie EUR 1,250,000. therefore in principle rule out any option Almería cheapen the transfer of Ulloa the transfer by the Granada, of any player.

What i make of it is Granada cant afford the price Almeria wants but we can.

You aint wrong Frutos, Ees complicated.

Am I reading this wrong, or does it sound a little bit like the Tevez/Mascareno transfers with 3rd party ownership?

If so it ees very complicated

We're not missing a goalscorer, we're missing a hold up player who will enable others to score goals. A Heskey type player.

what? a goalscorer is EXACTLY what we're missing. A useless lump up top would just get in the way of things. Gus would never in a million years favour the classic lower-league big man plus little man combo upfront, and rightly so. Those days, luckily for us, are long gone.

Can't believe it would take so long to get the passports but then again, Spain are not the most prosperous country at the moment.

They have not heard of the fast track passport service

It isn't about getting a passport, it is about qualifying for dual nationality.

According to reports he is still officially around 3/4 months away from being officially qualified, but they are trying to negotiate something that will allow it to happen sooner and get the move.

Ah ok, that makes more sense. Frustrating times. Must be even more so for Gus

What reports? The translated article seems to suggest otherwise

Apologies for the confusion, this is when the story broke originally on the Argus website, not in the reports since.

The implications being made are that we knew he needed a passport but we haven't done anything, the truth is we couldn't do anything until he was nearer getting dual nationality. That obstacle appears to have been resolved according to the stories in the last 24hrs.

Not really. That ownership split would not be allowed in England, but even though it's only the club who is supposed to influence the transfer (!), at the moment in any case, Brighton are reportedly the only club prepared to pay the 2.5m euro fee Almeria have demanded.

That's how I read it but none of us really knows!

I think someone else has raised this point but, given that we were apparently in for him in the Summer, why hasn't the dual nationality issue been sorted in the intervening period?

Wrong I beleive. Naylor says he does qualify for an EU passport but they are just simply waiting for it to arrive.

Brian Owen is reporting that Grenada have moved their interest to another striker as the 2m asking price makes Ulloa a dream to them. He also notes that, that's rather academic without a spanish passport!
