Interested in what peoples thoughts were when Loen was substituted today.
Came off asking why, then you could see him swearing and cursing then he kicked something when entering the in the players box.
Also it was interesting to hear Tony Gayles comments on Leon when he was caught offside three times, he called him lazy and in fact if we had another linesman on another day he could have flagged Leon offside when the goal was scored.
This boy in my opinion has a real attitude problem.

Agreed. He as undoubted talent but his attitude is questionable.

It was interesting that on Sky before the game the pundits said that Leon Knight can be as good "as he wants to be". ie suggesting it was only his attitude preventing him from being a better player.

He will always have an attitude problem - depends how long MM is prepared to put up with it.

Given he is out of contract at the end of this season and there appears no effort made to renew it, I would suggest it may be his last season with us.

Fair assessment, but he´s a goalscorer and is probably pissed off at himself for not having scored yet this season. However, he needs to learn how to conduct himself better, especially if he wants to make it at the top (which I believe he can, given his ability)

I believe he has been offered a new contract but has not yet signed. Anyone able to confirm this?

He did OK in the first half but lost focus a bit in the second. He has one of these games every now and then because he is still young. But he always comes back strong and will again.

Good substitution from McGhee, but would have liked to have seen Mahe rather than OGH on.

Thought he chased and harried more than normal, even made a tackle in our third of the pitch.

He looked useful when out on the left, but there was no service for him. However, being caught offside so many times is down to a lack of concentation and effort.

He was caught offside too often, ruining decent moves for us. I also felt in the second he started to look a bit disinterested, so McGhee wsa quite right to take him off. His behaviour when taken off was really rather childish, but sadly so very predictable from him

I think Leon's missing Chris McPhee being brought down in the box and winning him a shitload of penalties. Goals don't come easy at this level, as Bobby Zamora before him found out.

Yes, He definately has an attitude problems but he is a talent. It is up to MM to get the best out of him.

I believe that MM is experienced enough to give Leon Knight a kick up the arse in a way that makes him want to play football for this club. However if Leon continues have "a lack of effort" problem then I think we should off load him.

Even at the Preston game me and many people around me in C block were getting quite pissed off with his lazy attitude. When you see all of the other players giving 110% and then leon walking about, people are bound to get pissed off.

I posted on here a while ago about his attitude,

When I was out at the England v Croatia I met the Chelsea Youth Academy manager and we got talking about young players etc,and he told me that Leon was one of the best players ever to come thru the ranks but his attitude was way off the mark to make him a decent player, hence the reason why they sold him!:nono:

I think he will do a good job for us. I guess Magoo took him off as he lacks match sharpness after missing the early games but he has worked harder in the last 2 games than he did for most of last season. The lad has undoubted talent and when he blags his 1st of the season he will back to the smiling cheeky chappie we adored last seson

Looked alright to me for most of the game, but needs to concentrate more on staying onside.

His attitude was v annoying when he came off though - he needs to grow up!

Hopefully he willl. Other parts of his game have improved a lot. Doesn't really dive any more. Stays down a bit too long sometimes, but does take a fearsome battering most games.

I dont have time for Knight. If he scores great, but i generally dont like people with his kind of attitude. Virgo is a man he could learn a few things from.

I agree. I would much rather have a player who acknowledges that he deserves to be subbed and wants to come off rather than being allowed to stay on the pitch & correct things.

I thought he did ok as well but was surprised at his attitude when he was taken off. I think the comment about him being lazy is an interesting one - I never really thought about it like that and have put it down to attitude.
