Yeah that's fine, but it's the attitude he shows when being taken off or things are not going his way.

I'm sure he will start soon to get the goals we all know he can score

I have no problem with someone having the hump when they come off. just the attitude im looking for.
Im sure it was just a feeling at the time, there was only 10-15 to go and it was just some fresh legs and to change the shape of the side, he will see that when he looks at it.

Chill out, Knight will score goals.

Leon is feeding off scraps, off course he is going to be pissed off. It's just unlucky for him that we didn't seem able to give him balls that give him the opportunity to score or at least shoot. It must be incredibly frustrating for him and perhaps it was his own frustration rather than a bad attitude?

He's petulant, selfish and arrogant. That's why he hates being substituted, but it's also what makes him a good goalscorer.

He obviously won't get as many goals as last season, but I would still back him to get 12-15 during the season.

The bottom line is (this was clear as day on the TV footage) he turned to Dean White and asked "what the f*cking hell was that for" when subbed. You couldn't see what Dean said but Leons reply was "that's f*cking bullshit" before moodily going to the bench. Now I don't know what DW said but I hope it was along the lines of "because we want to hold the ball longer up front" or "you're struggling a bit out there today and Virgo is knackered but we need to keep the big lad on".

It's a team game and quite frankly his response (to a member of the coaching staff) was an afront to the excellent work, attitude and application of the (less high profile) youngsters who put everything in. He looks to me as though he doesn't relish competition for places and I agree with the earlier comment that "he can be as good a player as he wants to be". His reputation for petulance has travelled with him wherever he has gone. Look at Sheff. Wed's assessment of his time there.

I think a fair bit does stem from frustration at not scoring, but he should not be allowed to upset the team spirit or be disrepectful to the coaches (especially with the amount of very young players watching him). The answer to his problems come from within himself.

This thread is 18 months old, it could have been anytime in the last couple of months. The only thing that's changed is a lot of posters opinions, including mine.

Worth a bounce I reckon?

:lolol: I see what you mean Icy, one or two surprise change of views!!!!!!!

Agreed. You do wonder that a lot of people are only supporting Knight now because it's a stick to beat McGhee with.
