Bolton manager Neil Lennon has been charged with misconduct after accusing referee Darren Drysdale of bias in Saturday's Championship defeat at QPR.
A 94th-minute goal from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas secured a 4-3 win for QPR that left Bolton in the relegation zone.
"I've never seen a more biased performance from a referee in a long time. He gave QPR everything he possibly could, I was so frustrated with that."" said Lennon, 44. "Any 50/50 challenges, it looked at times the free-kick was going to go to us, he invented a free-kick for QPR.
"It was a really frustrating performance from him from my point of view."
Lennon has until 18:00 BST on Thursday to respond to the charge.
The Football Association charge alleges that Lennon's comments "allege or implied bias" on Drysdale "and/or bring the game into disrepute".
On Monday, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was charged with the same offence after claiming officials were "afraid" to give decisions in favour of his side.

'Never seen a more biased performance from a referee in a long time.'...since 26th September!

I'll tell you what's frustrating - managers who bemoan a poor referee performance, when their shirt-pulling, shin-kicking,vile side cheat and exploit shit refs as much as possible, ruining a game of football. Disgusting.:wanker:

Indeed. After all its his sides play acting that resulted in us losing a player and ultimately 2 points.

In fairness to Lennon the ref was very poor. However the bias, if there was any, was in favour of Bolton rather than us.

Lennon should take a long hard look at the way he behaved on Saturday. Constantly being told to get back in his technical area and on several occasions to get off the pitch. Sad seeing a grown man behave like that.

2 teams that are highly unlikely to be bothering you come the end of the season should you stay up there.

He really does seem to be a horrible little man, confused into thinking that winning a few SPL titles with the only half decent team in the league somehow makes him a relevant presence in the English game.

Quicker he gets chased out of Bolton and into lower league obscurity the better.

Par for the course of a struggling manager trying to save his job. Blame everyone bar yourself.

I'd imagine he probably thinks that being the manager of a Championship club is what does that...

Referees are often biased, often cheat and make things up depending on who has teed them off at any given time.
