I am not having this formation in the build up to their opening goal (which looked like either a deflected or shanked shot was perfect cross). Four players surrounding the ball. Once simply pass into space killed us.

Yep. Also, remember when Igor was our best centre back according to some on here?
His recent form is besides the point (and he has been very good recently). You don’t disrupt the defensive structure that late into a game unless a) you’re a small side trying to hold on against a much bigger side, or b) you’re a man down.

You’re asking for trouble, and that trouble keeps finding us.

It feels like we have been a pretty poor side for about a year now. Or whenever RDZ decided to stop bothering.

Yes yes I know 7th, could be, should be 2nd blabla, but looks at the performances. Nowhere near the level of RDZs first season. Not even close. But I suppose that's when we had Ali Mac and Caicedo.
Obviously Caicedo and MacAllister’s departures left a big hole, but this squad is better than anything that RDZ had, we’ve filled the midfield with O’riley, Weiffer, Ayari and Baleba but Hurzeler can’t seem to find a balance yet.
We’ve not played a full 90 minutes of good football yet, though oddly the results (on the whole) have been coming, I guess we should be encouraged that we’re sitting where we are whilst not being particularly great, but at some point Hurzeler has got to get this team to gel and find some consistent performances.

lack of shitehousery required to close out games just so naive at times where are the leaders on the pitch
Games like today and Wolves are situations where Milner would be ideal to come on and organise our shit and shithousery.

Probably the role envisioned for him this season. Sadly, never fit.

As I said before it's a tactic as old as time, used by pretty much every manager in the League. We did it against Newcastle taking off Danny Welbeck and bringing on JPVH. We won that day. Liverpool replaced Mo Salah with defender Conor Bradley going into injury time against us in the league to protect their 2-1 lead.

You know what’s an even older tactic. Not disrupting your defensive structure at the end of a game.

So poorly coached. This isn't just of Hurzelar but Igor is running across the people literally unable to swing his right foot through the ball and clear it. PL footballer completely unable to use his right foot. Disgraceful.

.......... and the growing majority of posters who are contributing to this "Comedy Gold" ;-)

Yes we are all a bit miffed, but take a step back. I used to get my fix of giggles and entitlement by looking on the forums of the Top 6 and fabulous YouTube sites, mostly connected to Mark Goldbridge et al!

As far as forums and entitlement go, we are knocking on the door of Top 6!

We are a young inexperienced side (think Chelsea last year) with a young inexperienced manager - this is our level, this is our model, we are learning and sometimes that's football. We are lucky to have had an injection of £200m for both young and inexperienced in relation to the PL, players and we are expecting them to knit into the side and bring immediate results.....

I must admit Arteta should be getting pelters for not getting 3pts at Craven Cottage, when sides like us should guarantee 3pts going there and Slot for only getting 1 point at the 12th placed side - it's a funny old game.......

Lost count of how many different scapegoats we've had this season - have I missed the threads blaming Gully and Beryl the Tea Lady?

They say the table doesn't lie - anybody would think we aren't above sides like Spurs, Newcastle and Man Utd.

Anyway, I thought Lamptey and Weiffer were great today - oops that's not going to be popular!!
