Potter needs to demonstrate leadership by facing the cameras, not feed Dunk to the wolves.

Christ - we're really reaching to moan about Potter. It's standard practice for a player to do the first 'flash' interview and the managers come out after they've spoken to the team.

Here he is.

Very calm and considered but no passion

Getting beaten is not the issue I would hazard a guess most were expecting that, its the way we played and sad to say the way we didn't react to going 1-0, then 2-0. Its as though the manager had told them to take it easy.

We are far too slow in the build up and think Gross is key contributor. What I liked about an Burn last year was his raw approach to the game and the energy he brought in, he now thinks he is a footballer and again bringing the ball back when it was easier to go forward. Need to see more of the Dunk long range passes there was a cracking one but he rarely does that now.

If you play Connolly and/or Maupay you need to play it quick to feed or into space we just didn't do it.

Bissouma is streets ahead of all of those that played tonight.

At the end it did look like we had started to get some movement and pace going forward , I don't think it was just Leicester backing off we looked to be trying.

Burn was brought to the club as a back up centre half only and to cover injuries and suspensions. Cant fault his effort but he is way out of his league. Connolly needs a year in the championship to get goals under his belt. Your dead right about Gross and would be another casualty if it were my team along with McAllister and Jahanbakhsh all offering very little. Trossard the juries still out for me. 2 massive games coming up.

First start in god knows how long

Can’t expect that much from him

Not rocket science to track back.
Sorry Bladders if you can’t do the basics when you’re apparently ‘not at the races’ form wise, there isn’t much hope.

He’s not a terrible player or anything like that, just not good enough IMO for this level.

Agree with most of this.

What annoys me in the moment in games like this is when our best player, Bissouma, is taken off with 15-20 minutes to go. I know it's extremely unlikely that we'll get anything from the game, but my word, if that was other teams in the PL, I swear they'd be trying to score. Instead Yves gets taken off (presumably to prevent cards/injuries), but in that moment you know Albion have given up believing they can mount a comeback. Gross is still out there. No Trossard. It felt like I wasted 45 minutes of my life in that second half to see Albion's closest attempt being an overhead kick from Maupay and two long-range shots from Bissouma because everybody else was afraid to shoot.

What have we learnt tonight? That Dan Burn is not a left back and we don't know our best team.

Again a really poignant comment from Morrison/Townsend. When we had the ball (even though we lacked any cutting edge) we had system/plan so to speak, as soon as we lost it we had no plan out of possession, they both said we were silent on the field (NO LEADERS).

That is poor coaching, same as the set pieces and the garbage zonal marking. Hughton for all his deficiencies did know how to give us a solid defensive shape, something we sorely lack now.

combined with the defensive personnel and system revolving door that changes week by week and its no surprise we have lost defensive solidity.

No leader,... and before you say it, Dunk ain't no leader....

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter, speaking to Amazon: "Disappointing. The box is where it matters and Leicester were better than us.

"We stuck at it in the second half but clearly over the course of the 90 minutes not good enough to get something from the game.

"In the end they were a little bit too good for us and sometimes that happens.

"That is our 12th game, we are quite early on in the season so we have a lot of time but we know we are fighting to improve, fighting for points. We are going to keep humble and keep going."

Potter will have the players really fired up, you wouldn’t want to be in that changing room pre match.

I can imagine the players absolutely shitting it. Just like Alex Ferguson with hair dryer treatment and kicking boot in Beckhams face etc. However GP gives them the silent look and flicks his lambs wool moccasins at Maupay. Terrifying I know!

I think we should all know by now (like it or not, I’m not a big fan of it) that Potter is in PR mode in his match interviews.

He will not comment too much on anything controversial and he will certainly not be super critical of players. He’s a politician saying platitudes in front of the camera basically.

Not saying that’s right or wrong, but we should all know this by now.

Totally expected but would of been nice to show some fire and then give a mini battle cry about a massive relegation 6 pointer Wednesday . Assure us that heads won’t drop , players will be fired up and we will do everything for the cause on Wednesday to get the points .

Drab individual

So pleased I watched Mortimer and Whitehouse fishing , really enjoyable watch , instead of watching a team who can’t score goals , give goals away like Christmas presents , and hardly ever win a game ,
