Tell you another thing.

Dan Harding has been at two clubs in the championship now and in both cases the season after he leaves they go down.

you commented that the outcome would be quite funny I just fail to see the funny side if what the fans ringing 606 on saturday night were saying is correct

You misunderstood, there has been much talk of the fans trying to "stop the game" - no just a few idiots who thought the whistle had gone then tried to start a ruck with the Ipswich fans.

Sorry to offend, I just found it funny that possibly a few ran onto the pitch and a load of idiots followed them like sheep.

I see Bates has given Dennis Wise a vote of confidence, saying he won't be going anywhere. This is brilliant news - the comedy is likely to continue for another season.

Big clubs have come down before but they generally bounce straight back. If you offered a Leeds fan the final play-off place for next season I reckon they'd bite your hand off...

I think they'd probably throw a coin at your head, punch you in the face, and then bite your hand off.

He's had a very good season for Ipswich too.

Re: the pitch invasion, yesterday. Some fans are excusing the Leeds troublemakers as having presumed the final whistle had gone, therefore they ran onto the pitch thinking the game was over.

But that doesn't excuse them attacking Ipswich supporters, does it? :shootself

No it doesn't, but sort of explains WHY it happened in the first place.

You've got to be a bit thick though - I suspect they only went to the game to run on at the end.

An intyeresting point has just occurred.

had the ref not taken them back, then the game would have been abandoned and regarded as a 0-3 defeat for Leeds.

Which meant that they would hvae been definiteley relegated as its only the point against Ipswich taht is keeping them up at the moment

there was an artivle in the times a while ago called 'the fall of leeds united' as a subheader, as away trips to gillingham loom' - have tried to find it on the web but cant,

basically it goes into how players such as ferdinand and a guy who made 15 appearances in the premership are still on their books

Players who made far less than 15 appearances are still being paid by the football club.

Dougdeep, Paddy is in Singapore right now, and that is probably just as well!
