Yes they have. My nephew is a goalie there.
They're unlikely to promote him to the senior squad yet though, as he is only 8. :jester:

I might tell my brother to reduce his pocket money from £3 a week to 3p, just to prepare him for the harsh realities!!

Does he train at TA or the out in the community things? Paddy's nephew is 9 and a goalie there as well.

I'm not really sure Starry, to be honest. They live in York, and all I know is that his mum has to drive him to Leeds 2 or 3 days a week after school for it. His name is Will.

Getting back to Bates, the CVA and the creditors what I want to know is - when did the offer suddenly go up to 8p in the pound? Wasn't the original agreement for 1p? How come Bates has manged to increase it 8-fold? Surely he wasn't attempting to fleece everybody and get Leeds on the cheap?

Probably Thorp Arch then. Good for him I hope he does well. Our nephew prefers rugby league but is 'better' at football, I think next season will be his last training at football because when he goes up to senior school he wants to do rugby.

And the Bates offer went up at the original CVA meeting when he realised Morris was really offering more money (which isn't hard when you're only offering a penny) but it was conditional upon a few things. The conditionality (and the offer) of it all has changed and altered since then to appease various factions from HRMC to Bob's Disco since the CVA.

Bates has taken on another backer since then and that has allowed him a little more £££ to play with.

Not as much £££ to play with as one of the other offers though.

No idea. To the administrators maybe?

If only. KPMG have not taken over the running over the football club in the proper way that should have. The money going into the club is accumulating in another bank account and which is why 8k people could lose all their season ticket money if another buyer comes in. If we fail to start the season the money will be returned.

The FSF (currently insolvent) are still governing the income and expenditure of the club and as yet KPMG will not confirm to any creditors why this is the case they tell us we are in admin in which case they should be in charge but technically we are not in admin and the cva allows the FSF to do as they wish (KPMG dumb line).

Surely that could not be allowed to happen?!

As an aside though, why on earth would 8 thousand people* be silly enough to pay up front for season tickets during the current uncertainty?

[*minus a few who would have had longer term season tickets]

It is happening. The money going into the club is going into a bank account called Leeds United 07 and KPMG do not have access to it. There is a flimsy explanation on the Leeds Officious site about how the money will be returned if we fail to start the season but gives no indication for what will happen should a new owner ride in on a white horse.

I don't know why people would renew already, we certainly haven't yet. I think between memberships, season tickets and away season tickets there are something like 19k people with money in this bank account. I think the figure in the account (tickets/memberships alone) is about £3.8m.

I'm sure they feel they are loyal fans, giving up their money when the club needs it most. Why do they not see that they are giving their money to Bates, rather than the football club?

I don't know. I am continually surprised by people and the choices they make.

I suppose they felt the £25 saving for an early renewal was worth it. I think it was a stupid thing to do. Bates may well hand over the LU07 account to any new owner and it'll all be fine, but I'd rather hand my money directly to a new owner and give up the extra £25 than take the chance that I may well be funding a new sauna or pool in Monaco.
