I thought they were banned from any transfer activity while in administration, yet yesterday they sold Nicholls to PNE & todays mirror reckons Healy is on his way to Fulham for £2m.

I see KPMG and their legal team are still pushing the emotional blackmail line as hard as they can in that piece.

The Football League requires clubs in administration to secure a CVA before their share is transferred.
The league however recently revealed that they are able to bypass that rule in \'exceptional circumstances\'.

But Mr Doyle told the court that the League had informed KPMG that United\'s circumstances were not considered to be exceptional and a CVA would still be required.

Sounds promising.

I believe that Leeds can sell players, but are prevented from buying any.

My Leeds supporting colleagues are totally fed up and just wish Bates would walk away. Thing is Bates has never walked away from anything, unless he has had a few million placed in his pocket.

I can see this this saga running for awhile yet.

Do KPMG have a reputation to protect?

But they don't realise that.

Anyway, it's the KPMG activities surrounding the shareholders ballot/vote that seem to form the basis of HMRC's challange to the CVA so I'd have thought that these parasites would want to have avoid having to disclose all to the court.

I guess the most likely scenarios are:
(a) The current CVA will be withdrawn if there's really another bidder lined up and ready to go.
(b) Bates ups the offer to try and get HMRC off their backs - however, it seems to me that Bates/KPMG have really pissed off the Revenue here so I wouldn't be surprised if they stick out for the full 100% or something close.
(c) The FL cave in, make Leeds a special case after all and allow them to start the season prior to the case being heard.

Regrettably I think (c) will be inevitable if the others don't materialise.

does this mean that leon constantine is definitely joining us as rumoured a week or too ago?

Why do people think we are going to get constantine? He turned us down in January despite the offer a £150k a year pay rise. Why would he have changed his mind now?

I wonder if Man City fans are ecstatic about Erikson.

We have a lot to thank DK for.

I think you are right.

I'd quite happily trade with Man City.

:eek::eek: Go on then, you can become a City fan if you like. You could even cadge a ride on the Man U coaches for home games.

I this I would feel pretty down if my team was about to be managed by the clown that is Erikson, Jeez, he makes MM look positively inspiring.

Still remember lip reading him saying "Why won't they do what I say" on the touchline against Portugal (?) He is a disaster, about to happen again in Manchester.

They can't buy, only sell.

Id take being manage by Erikson (Which will probably only be for a season or two) if we had their ground and playing in the premier league to be honest. I meant id trade everything they have for everything we dont!
