8ace said:right so they scan it rather than rip a bit off. Never seen that before.
Starry said:Correct. You scan it though, not a steward.

Herne Hill Seagull said:When I went to Ajax the whole ground worked this system - there were no 'gatemen' anywhere. You stuck the barcoded part of the ticket into a slot ouside the gate, and it released the lock to let you in. Didn't know anybody was using it in this country, though.
Got mine yesterday - looking forward to this one.

Can't go due to family commitments
If I was I would be up there at 51 grounds too!
Starry said:Yep that's right. Until I posted on this forum I didn't realise that 'pay on the gate' still existed for any away club at any grounds.

three of us going, and it's my 21st that weekend, so I'm gonna have it large in some nightclub that I eventually fall into!!!
Gilliver's Travels said:Much confusion here... Last try?
Away fans - as long as they're not wearing Albion colours or blatantly attempting to proposition bluff Yorkshiremen - will be able to gain admission to other ( ie not away fans-only ) areas of the ground.
So will neutrals. Or even home fans. By paying £25 on the day.
