I rang Leeds when I thought the game was in Feb they told me NO away fans can pay on the gate ever.

Yep that's right. Until I posted on this forum I didn't realise that 'pay on the gate' still existed for any away club at any grounds.

right so they scan it rather than rip a bit off. Never seen that before.

Correct. You scan it though, not a steward.

When I went to Ajax the whole ground worked this system - there were no 'gatemen' anywhere. You stuck the barcoded part of the ticket into a slot ouside the gate, and it released the lock to let you in. Didn't know anybody was using it in this country, though.

Got mine yesterday - looking forward to this one.

They had those things in Baku.

Do not remember those at the Amsterdam Arena, but then the whole game was a bit of a blur.

Though the return is very tight with the last train for Sheffield leaving 8 minutes after the first train after the game from Leeds gets in.
Lots of nice hotels to stay in we are in the Park Plaza for the night.

wonder how many of the 5100 that went to spurs travel,f***ing glory fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am can't wait another great day out as way Spurs , Sunderland , Wigan, WestHam to name a few come marvellous scenes. All clubs have fans who go to big games and nothing else, lets worry about the hard core who would travel anywhere to watch the Albion get into the playoffs.

Much confusion here... Last try?

Away fans - as long as they're not wearing Albion colours or blatantly attempting to proposition bluff Yorkshiremen - will be able to gain admission to other ( ie not away fans-only ) areas of the ground.

So will neutrals. Or even home fans. By paying £25 on the day.

No confusion whatsoever except perhaps your inability to comprehend the English language.

It is a great city for nightlife, which makes me confused as to why you went to the Townhouse.
